Another Infinity week. I’m all tingly inside. Can’t wait to see what they will show us.
I had the problem mentioned in the video. finding the correct expansions for my Haqq and Yu Jing armies.
I picked way to much. But thats ok I got the Maghariba Guard 😀
I will definitely get Icestorm now to get a nice start with Nomads and Pano. And with the Beyond Icestorm I can justify building the army correctly.

Look at that STALKER, I mean Ariadna Spec Ops miniature! So awesome.
I own quite a large collection of Yu Jing and the Haqqislam out of red veil, but so far the old Guilang Sniper is the only model have out of the new beyond red veil box no Zanying, no Daofei at all. I love those models, though I must say, the Nomads win. Definitely the coolest models.

Definitely a good idea to offer an expansion to help flesh out forces. I will be watching the rest of this week with interest.
Questions as a person looking to get into Infinity. Are the preorder special minis only available if I order through Corvus Belli directly, or can I just order through my local game store and get it? Also the game seems to have a lot of exclusive miniatures. Are new players at a disadvantage since they’ve missed out on so many of those exclusive miniatures?
1) You can order the BEYOND boxes with the Exclusive CSU and BountynHunte rthrough your local game store.
2) No disadvantage at all, there are also official regular miniatures that can fill those gaps in any army.
Most if not all exclusive miniatures are just different sculpts and the last two GenCon minis were released there quite some time before their alternate pose non exclusive variations were released.
PreOrder as said can be done by any store, and maybe you also have a store that can get the GenCon special deals, here in germany we got one. That way I got last years (?) deal with the Unknown Ranger for reasonable shipping (shipping from spain to germany is quite high)

So Acheron’s fall will be for 2018…. those packs are beyond my expectations, such useful profiles with the best sculp quality, those guys are simply the best miniature company around!
It’s a nice touch, giving players two different approaches to gathering an army.
1. Predefined set and its expansion (economically advantageous, for new players especially attractive)
2. Free customization by recruiting each unit separately
Both have their advantages, but I’m the customizing guy ;]
Chibi Miyamoto is just the most awesome thing ever. Can’t wait till they come out for sale since it is most likely I will go for the bundle and get everything since they are so cool and it adds to my ever growing collection. Thank you CorvusBelli for producing such awesome miniatures.
oh man these are just awesome, , gonna have to get both, and oh look at that, what a coincidence i now have 3 300 point forces for factions I wasnt really planning on turning into full forces… but I guess some more options wouldnt hurt. These boxes are clearly designed to set off people with Faction ADD.

That Swiss Guard looks amazing. I have to say seeing the Angel paintjobs up so close is both saddening and joyous. Knowing I will never acheive such a wonderful level of detail but still it doesn’t stop one trying does it!

These look beautiful. Especially that Swiss guard. Though I am also tempted to grab the hassassins in the Beyond Redveil box… I might just have to ask Tzeentch if he can spare me a few dollars to pick this up. After all “Faith is the soul of any army” so it can’t hurt to have two armies of faith! I would ask Slaanesh for money but the money he/she gives me is always kind of slimy with a strange odor..

Noteworthy comment about the ‘historical significance’ of chibi Mushashi. Was Aristeia supposed to be developed as a chibi style game? Or is CB planning something else entirely? These are interesting times.

I’ve always played Bakunin sectorial and I have a small Neoterra force. With these bundles I’m tempted to get Icestorm and he beyond pack and start looking at vanilla Nomads and PanO.
I like how these ‘expansion’ boxes add the ‘missing’ troops to each faction.
Now both Pano and Nomads have troops with the ‘medic’ and ‘sniper’ profiles, but at the same time they’re different characters.
Ok, I was thinking about getting into Infinity and I’m getting even more tempted now! Can’t wait to see what’s still to come this week!

The expansion for red veil looks nice. I love both factions of this 2 player starter, so i like to win it and grab the expansion 😉
Well, those boxes are getting bought. I’ve got the armies to go with them, unfortunately, not enough time to play them all.
Fortunately for my wallet, I don’t play USAriadna and am completely immune to chibi.
Can’t help but be impressed with these bunch of releases. Everything from the box art to the models themselves.
The wait to see the trooper profiles is rough; I needs to see the one for the Nomad Heavy Infantry.
I love infinity figures but wish they were all made in plastic. I always have trouble building them and some of the details are really fiddly to glue on. Their sculptures are perhaps some of the best in the industry

If CB used usage data to determine which load out of each miniature to include in the box, why did PanO get a Bolt Paramedic? Are Bolts so infrequently used that background noise randomly lead to the medic being the most used?

Angel’s painting is just the best. They look so unbelievable when you take into account their actual size. All of them are to die for. I think Corvus Belli has done a great job on the sculpting on these also. The levels of detail on them really is so appropriate to the figures. Just….stunned….

I’m torn with that Grunt spec-op. I preferred the non-Gen Con version of Van Zant, but then regretted missing the Gen Con version of the Unknown Ranger last year because the pose on the regular release wasn’t as good IMHO. What to do..

I’m tempted to get the Red Veil expansion for myself and the Ariadna spec ops guy for my friend. And the chibi mini just for fun but I don’t really need the expansions… as I’ve already got 300pts for my nomads and Yu-Jing but I like the corporate guy extra.

Some pretty fantastic miniatures in there. These sets are not only great expansions for the starter sets but they’d also make awesome painting projects if you just want to paint some cool Infinity minis.

Lovely looking stuff – I’m picking up the Red Veil set for sure… unusually, the Haqq side of the set is the one I’m really loving this time round, so I’ll look forward to using them when I get start putting my Haqqislam force together when I want a change from using Yu Jing 🙂
So the Bolt and the HMG-Swissguard are models that are played that often and thus are released before other seemingly more important models like the SwissGuard Hacker and Hexa Hacker? I sincerely doubt that. 😉 Gorgeous models but not what many players want or need. An erratic release pattern yet again.
Really digging the poses and the overall sculpts. Once again, Corvus Belli knocks it outta of the park. This will be a nice addition to my Ops: Icestorm. I’ll still have to grab Ops: Red Veil.
One question does come to mind though. Will we see some kind of expansion for the USAriadna force box as well Carlos? My Rangers need some reinforcements. LoL.

I absolutely love the design, the depth of detail, that goes into the Infinity models but I would never be able to do them justice. Every time I flirt with the idea of diving into the world of Infinity, those gorgeous models with their fine details chase me away. But this week of Infinity coverage might be what finally breaks me, my feeble painting skills be damned.
Those Nomads looks so AWESOME! I Need to find money for them. That chibi mini and the talk around him…Super Wreck Explorer! Because you don’t explore dungeons in Infinity.

This year I started playing Infinity because of operation Red Veil! This expansion is exactly what I need to expand my forces. The models look amazing. In combination with the global campaign Infinity has stolen my previous Games Workshop heart!

Well this is great, I just started in Infinity. I’ve got the Yu Jing half of Red Veil, now I don’t even have to think about where to go next!
I love the idea of these sets to help noobs like me. What I don’t see, but hope they include, are more rules to go with these figures. More scenarios would be nice too.

The one thing that turns me away from Infinity is the while “Limited Edition”/buy NOW marketing. I like to collect minis and paint at my own pace. I also am a bit of a completionist and like to collect ALL the minis.
But when a company does this type of marketing, I realise I can’t collect them all and turn away from a system. It was the same for me with Zombicide (again…how many limited edition minis?).
Does this marketing scheme actually drive sales? If the mini is good (and all the ones here are good), wouldn’t gamers just buy them?
Its the same with “KS Exclusives”, wouldn’t the money used to design a mini for a few be better spent to expand the core game?
Are gamers “elitist”, and demand to be rewarded for dogged company loyalty, or should we go back 10 years and just see minis released to all to enjoy and paint (without having to jump through hoops)?

Great looking minis and such a good idea. I can see the need for these in some other gaming systems as well, they’re a great follow up to any 2 player starter box really. You could even package up different box sets to give people a few different options/styles to try.
Do all of those models currently have rules and if not how are the rules being rolled out? Will they be in the box with the models?

That Ariadna spec-ops looks amazing.
I started to get a friend into Infinity at my local club and another friend is showing an interest.
He had bought the Icestorm set but never got a game going until the other week with me. I hope these expansions come with scenarios and not just models, to make my efforts to demo the game even easier.
I love the models and had great fun during Operation Flamestrike with a few reports submitted from games with my son, but haven’t played a lot. Even with my limited experience I have always thought that getting beyond the box and into full 300pts games to be a challenge.
Neither Icestorm nor Red Veil really give you enough scenarios to explain the rules like hacking, suppression, group orders, link teams or utilising command tokens to any degree and this makes it hard to leap into full 300 pts games. Those rules examples aren’t even exclusive to a handful of miniatures, they are a key component of getting to enjoy the full experience.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Icestorm and also bought Red Veil and the basic rules are fed to you in bite size chunks, in fun and narrative ways, but it just seems to stop short of preparing you for a the full game.
The store near me has a ton of Infinity and I’ve been drooling over the mini’s since I first saw them. The game play looks fun as well. Unfortunately they closed down their play space due to theft so there’s no more tournaments and no place to play with new people. I want to give Infinity a run for my money, but I need people to play with before I spend a dime.

So much “Eye Candy”, i`m getting eye strain just looking at all those sweet looking mini`s. Not sure which one i would choose as my favourite, but the female mini`s would be top of my list……….There so much more than just eye candy.
I myself like and have two boxes of the 45th Highlanders Rifles “Galwegian`s”, and William Wallace to lead them. The reason i have two boxes of the 45th is………………i`ll build one set how there meant to be, and attempt to convert the other set. Having looked at the mini`s this is not gonna be an easy task, but then again if it was easy everybody would be at it. This all depends on me having “FREE TIME”, but where there`s a will there`s a way.

Great models and Angel’s touch brings them to life we all expect. Being fortunate to own a Giraldez, “Busy as a Tech Bee”, from his first book, I am obviously a fan.

Great sculpts and paint jobs from Corvus Belli as always. Looks to be a good way to help players expand their forces after the starter sets.
I am sooo happy CB have finally issued out a new sculpt for the iconic Fiday. I have been waiting for the new sculpt since 2014 when the new designs started coming out. I am also happy with the other figures for Haqqislam.
The miniatures are gorgeous. I love the game (never played but watched). Love the aesthetic. I’m sure the fluff would draw me in if I knew more about it.
The one thing stopping me jumping into infinity has always been the feeling that I don’t have the skills to do justice to the models.
I really think I need to step out of my comfort zone soon though, and get one of the starter sets.
This was a great idea. I know Icestorm was what got me very invested with the game. It will be nice to revisit it.
