Good to hear a little about the futre of Infinity
I’m glad a new version of that book is coming as my army first appeared in the first version of it (Aleph). Corvus Belli always delivers and it’s fun to see that some of the rules contained in that book will be updated.
Never heard of that other book before. Now, I’ll be waiting for this one too, it seems! 🙂

i really like the direction infinity is going. and i think the ethos of corvus belli is really good that every one should get something. also how they focus on balance and making the best experience for us as gamers.
Never been a better time to get into Infinity it seems!
I wish there was more fluff available in order to get a deeper understanding about all the factions and the world without buying the books.
I know it sucks, but when you give away your full rules online you have to make money somewhere else :-/ that being said there are lots of blog entries out there to introduce people to the different factions, so those are a good starting point if you don’t know anyone with the book.

This is a great interview. An open dialogue with fans about the future of the game and the plans for updates is extremely refreshing. Aside from the quality of the game itself it’s easy to see why Infinity (and by extension Corvus Belli) are gaining so many fans. Infinity week has to be the most popular dedicated week I’ve seen so far on Beasts of War.
With all of the confusion and speculation about the rules for AoS, I can’t help but wonder how different the community reaction might have been if someone from GW had sat down and had a similar chat. A human face giving clear, honest, answers goes a long way.
Corvus Beli are great guys/gals! I recently goten my game club into infinity and they have taken it with gusto :D!

Interesting – Carlos mentioned 2 Ariadna sectorials for ‘Falls. Kazak and someone else, or maybe he just got confused and meant that USAriadna will be in N3 Human Sphere while the Kazaks will be in Acheron Falls.

I was worried many months back when it was debated what would come out first between Human sphere and Acheron falls (excuse the spelling). I was very happy to hear CB decided Human sphere to be first for rules consistancy. Looking forward to the future with Infinity. 🙂

While I’ve not played this game yet I am very interested in trying it.
I’m curious as to whether or not the USAriadna counts towards those sixteen or not. He specifically mentioned that Ariadna is getting two new sectorials, and if they don’t count USAr that bring Ariadna up to five total, which to be honest I have my doubts about as PanO is the only one with that number confirmed and they have a much larger industrial and population base to work this. Sixteen is in and of itself an interesting number, as there are currently eight armies, which would suggest two for each, baring any peculiarities such as Mercs getting a sectorial.
Nice to see a company support its community so well with proper updates of to new rulesets.

The release of HS updating its background so far is truly great, I just think Paradiso should go along with it. Hopefully they won’t do like GW making N3 > HS (N3+) > Paradiso (N3++) and so on.

I’m really excited about human sphere n3, but even more so about the far future plans.. I’ve collected some models over the past two years, but just recently started playing, and I feel like I’ve picked an excellent time to start.
The only problem I can see is trying to decide what army to chose?!? Maybe they can come up with a coalition of the different human factions to take on the Combine or Tohaa.

After watching I must say that I agree. As someone who jumped in when N3 was released what I want is that the whole of the game has the same language and logic. Probably the most veteran ones are getting impatient but getting rid of the PDF bloat and unclear old rules is gonna be great for the game.

Looking to start a new game and infinity looks like it has definite potential especially with all of the gorgeous minis.
I love how all the rules are free and on the website… but I don’t like how they are spread out over many PDFs. My ideal would be to have all the main game rules in one book, with future rulebooks like Human Sphere and Archon Falls getting rolled into the PDF as they come out. Then having all the campaign rules, sectorial army lists, unit profiles, and weapon profiles all in their own individual PDFs that are updated as needed.
Now I know that this would be hard and this is mostly just a wish list but having things set up in easy to find places on the website would make it easier for new players like me to learn the game.
Looking forward to the Human Sphere N3 book coming out this year. I’d like the completed N3 rules to all hit before the next ITS season.

Okay, I love the free rules idea. Don’t get me wrong, the books look beautiful, but I saw the prices for the N3 book and that plus the models is just too much of an investment right now, but with the free rules on the website we can play without it!

its probably just me but seeing the Overlord book from FoW behind Carlos made me realise something, the nations combined in Ariadna are pretty much the nations that made the Allies during WW2.

And AF possibly getting split into two books – that might actually be a good idea given the amount of new model release support even one new sectorial for each army would take – I’d honestly prefer that over having one of both sectorials languishing without model support for a year or more, or new releases getting split between the sectorials (but then I’m the idiot who gets every model for multiple factions anyway).

I collect Aleph so looking forward to N3 human sphere, but I was hoping it wasn’t needed as was originally stated by Corvus Belli as I was hoping for Acheron Falls this year and NEW STUFF. But Carlos makes a good case for it and if its a combined book with the rules bits from Paradiso and the new Tohaa, Aleph and USariadna from the last year or so that justifies it to me.

The RPG book has me very excited actually as I love fluff. While CB doesn’t skimp on it, they can really delve into the world via the RPG.

It all sounds very promising. If only I understood what was what and how to play. Perhaps if someone sent me a free copy of operation icestorm I could learn?
On the subject of a limited custom mini: Who is the face of Infinity? Carlos. So wheres the Carlos mini? Perhaps slap him in some USAriadna line trooper armour or something? Perhaps as some kind of merc that will work for everyone, and leave him in an infinity tshirt?

so all the fuss about old books compatibility just decide to jump stright out the window to the nearest trash wastes .. och well
More importantly is that your miniatures are still useful. Another company *kaff cough* has been known to make changes which trashes portions (or sometimes all of) an army. I’ve known people who have left the hobby over such a thing – finally gets their big force painted and, just like that, half of it can’t even be used any more.
Sure, sure, people always say “just play with the old rules” or whatever… but we all know that when you get to the table just about anywhere but your own home, the other guys aren’t interested in playing with the old rules and cut you out.
well not all – old Azrails are um … obsolite same go for old Morat minis they are um not exacly compatybile would say
but im more or less reffering to last year statment that “old books” are good – turns out they are not and well i must agree as a 90% of current rules are in Army 5 and in PDF hell a N3 rullbok is already not the current set of rulles 😀 – never less is a nice source of Fluff and Art book of sort

16 new sectorials!. That’s a lot. Human Sphere N3 will be nice, but I’m looking forward even more to Acheron Falls. Curious to know how the story will progress.

I think this video highlights the strength of Corvus Belli – they seem to place a tremendous amount of thought into their business plan and system, and have enough faith to respect it in the long run

Look likes it’s the right time to join the Infinity community. Seems like a lot of fun releases are coming in the future.
So, I am 100% new at all this, but this looks AWESOME! I am going to download the rules book and dive in. I can’t wait to see this in stores so I can grab one, and hopefully find some guys willing to help me get started.
