Ben Has A Chat With Joe On All Things Frostgrave
It's always great to catch up with Joe and hear all about what's new and exciting with Frostgrave. There's just something magical about putting together your band of adventurers in whichever way you'd like (especially if there's a way to work in a dwarf or two!).
How have you been enjoying Frostgrave? Be sure to comment for your chance to win.

Frostgrave has replaced Mordheim as one of my all time favorite games. I am looking forward to the Ghost Archipelago Nickstarter coming up.
Yeah, I hear you there – we’re already painting up pirate minis pre-emptively…
Cool
Get him to spill on the Fantasy Battles game they’re making the Dwarves for!!!!!
i like the rule set for Frostgrave it solid enough play in any background you could do Scifi easy enough :).
I quite like the idea of these styles of games especially if you can easily use the rules for different backgrounds. In the video I heard dinosaurs, which always perks my interest so will have to look into their next expansion.
What are the Frostgrave novels about, do they just focus on the skirmishes or do they fill in more of the lore of this particular setting?
not much into fantasy so more intrigued by scrappers & mad dogs with guns
My husband and I love Frostgrave. It’s a great game, and it’s also a great way to finally make use of all of the cool, random miniatures we’ve collected over the years that we would otherwise have no real use for.
I’ve heard a lot of good things about Frostgrave. May have to get involved with this!
Same, not one I’ve played but the openness of it is intriguing.
Just got my pre order of Ulterior Motives… Cannot wait to play with it :o)
My Ulterior Motives Nicstarter is in the mail, can’t wait!
It will also be fun when Ghost Archepelago comes out (i will have to clear up space for terrain for it and shelf space for some new minis 😉 )
I really like this game.
Got to say love where Frostgrave has gone.
Oooh, plastic pirates. Me wants.
not played frostgrave yet, I really do need to get round to it.
The majority of stuff I’ve painted in the last while has been for Frostgrave. It’s a tremendous success and long may that continue!
The pirate spinoff with dinosaurs sounds awesome.
Frostgrave is such an awesome little game. I really dont get enough games. I need to get more people interested in my area!!
Frostgrave!
If you haven’t given it a spin, do so. The book’s really reasonably priced, and if you’ve ever Mordheim’d, WFB’d, Saga’d, or anything, you’ve already got the minis you’ll need.
Frostgrave.
Get on it.
Frostgrave is a wonderful toolkit. And like everyone says, most of us have everything we need to get started and even play whole campaigns.
Frostgrave is my favorite fantasy game. I have been playing it since january of 2016. I especially love the freedom to use any miniature. I hope that Ghost Archipelago is just as good.
Seems like an okay game I guess
Rodney’s video made me fall in love with “Lost Expedition.”
Love me some Frostgrave!!!!!!!!!
Love frostgrave. Gotta get my dwarf war and completed to get more games in.
I have never seen or played Frostgrave before
It surprised me how quickly and to the extent Frosgrave took off. It’s a good thing that the niche was there to be filled.
I want to be as content as this dude is! That’s a happy man!
The new card deck is a cool addition. Hopefully our Frostgrave group will activate again soon, it’s a really fun game and I’m itching to paint some more fantasy stuff again.
I got loads of miniatures from the eighties so could probably play frostgrave without too much initial investment, what a neat idea. Lost expedition sounds good too i like the fact it can accommodate even solo play.
This Frostgrave talk has had a chilling effect on my wallet!!
The cards are brilliant! They make a great game even better!
Did not visit at the show but only because I have a tonne of Frostgrave, I just need to give myself a good kick up the backside to play more. Great game.
I’ve never heard of Frostgrave. I wish they would have show video of the game itself. The pics are nice, but video is always better.
Even if you don’t play frostgrave, their plastic boxed sets are great value for money.
Must find the time to play this game.
Here we are on day two. I’m still taking a stab at trying to win so forgive this shameless post as I’m going after either the 4Ground stuff or the Bushido stuff. I play Bushido here in the states. I teach it to whoever will listen, and I just try and represent it as it is. The best miniature game I’ve played.
Warband legacy games are brilliant, love the character creation and silly tales you end up having, like when Dave failed to kill a wolf or Herbert fell down a castle and dropped his loot, love seeing how the warband grows over games, and you always have that one guy who can’t roll anything ever.
Pirate superheroes? I’m all in.
I love Frostgrave. The plastic sets are so fun to build from. I need to get more Frostgrave played after devoting a chunk of time to make a load of fun terrain for the game. Once I’ve played a bit more I will definitely turn to Ulterior Motives to inject some more tactics and fun into it.
Nice placement on their copy of (S)Crappers in the background
Awesome stuff!
Having done some reading, I’m pretty excited about ghost archipelago…
Side quests in a skirmish game, I like it.
Such a great game!
A pirate version of Frostgrave, I am sold here. Where do I sign up?
Our club did some playtesting for Frostgrave. Brilliant game
Dino miniatures? Might be cool.
I think I’m going to have to twist some arms into playing Frostgrave…
Joe seems like a top bloke and Frostgrave is such a great antidote to those mini games you need to spend big bucks to get started and even bigger bucks to stay current with. Plastic pirates and dwarves boxes – can’t wait.
Looking forward to throwing in the Ulterior Motives in our game, just got them!
to be honest I was suprised how much i like frostgrave too, great game that have lots to explore.
Can’t believe I’ve still never played Frostgrave…
First heard of Frostgrave on BoW (game of the year show) and picked up a few bits to get started. I hope to get it to the table soon.
