Home › Forums › Painting in Tabletop Gaming › Konflikt 47: How should I paint this?
im rthe appropriating this for K47. My gap filling hasn’t been great br moving on…
which faction does this guy look like he should be part of? And how should I paint it
They do, a scorpion thing.
not sure if the fade and shape feels more Russian, American, German or Japanese…
It looks German to me , is he carrying a sci fi version of the MG 42 ?
I would pick either the so called Dot pattern , which you could do easily by punching holes in a post it note nd using it as your template for spray painting ( Green & red brown dots over panzer yellow )
Or the Ambush scheme , yellow base , red brown , green stripes , with yellow dots on the RB / G and usually one ( red or green ) color dot on the yellow .
The Sturm Tiger isn’t the best example ( too many dots ) but you get the idea . PLus its easy , who can’t paint stripes and then add dots ?
Valid point @a27cromwell
its tempting to do it as a German one. I might start with Skeleton Bone, a creamy yellow primer. You familiar with army painter spray primers
Sorry , no knowledge of Army Painter anything . LHS dosn’t carry it . I do believe AP does have some German WW2 colors , but what they call them ( Dunklegreb , Panzer Yellow , or ? ) I don’t know . Maybe check one of John’s tank painting videos , IRC he mentions the paint colors he uses . Personally I would base coat my fav German Yellow ( Spray or brush ) and just use whatever green and red brown I had handy . German camo paint came as a paste in liter cans , it was thinned with water , gas , or just smeared on with a cloth , so it can be real dark and thick to very light , almost see through like a thin wash or GW inks
