hmmm…. Sushi….
It’s Friday!
🤞🏻😁
I remember reading a Paranoia rob book decades ago, but I never played it. Maybe I’ll play the mini game solo.
Seems like it could be great fun
A happy weekender one and all. Have a weekend set aside all to myself for hobby. Going to put in some terry pratchett audio and have at the armoured clash. I’ve noticed people going for the traditional red or sand for the crown but have decided to go for service green but keeping the white or off white helmet. Hoping to add a bit of gilt but while there will be a little red I’m shying away from it. Lovely detail from warcradel. Have a load of boot hill minis to start too so nice scale difference to work with the weekend
That sounds like a great idea for an alternative Crown theme
Have a small Japanese force for bolt Action I was done with. Maybe it needs to expand
Always room for more reinforcements
Warlord REALLY need to look at doing the Chinese forces to battle the Japanese early on. There’s a weird mix of uniforms (some look like they were equipped with “Blitzkreig” German uniforms just with putties instead of jackboots. I saw someone doing a kitbash using Warlord Italian infantry and carving off the rifle pouches to replace with German ones). Then some look more like a peasant/militia with VERY barebone equipment. It’s such a shame as these forces (along with an eclectic mix of armour from just about all nations (other than Japanese)) are ignored by most manufactures in just about all scales. Warlord would probably have to do a couple of boxes to cover most of the uniforms. BUT most of the support weapons/artillery was all imported, so all they would need to do there would be to sculpt the crew members for the equipment. There was a recent Chinese movie knocking around on Netflix recently (rather gung ho, and a bit silly at times, but apparently was based on a real battle next to a “foreign” quarter who were just like spectators during the siege). Alas the name of the movie escapes me 🙁
Hi @phaidknott, I agree. This area of WWII is understandably neglected in the West as we had limited involvement in terms of China and early on. Personally I think there is weight in the Eastern view that WWII started in China, and earlier than we date it in the West. It would be great to do a Bolt Action Project on it, but as you have highlighted, we need some Chinese troops.
Yay weekender time is now folk’s 👍
look at the jap soldier who was thinking the war was still going 10 year’s after the end of the war 🤔
Good one guy’s 👍
I honestly don’t have the time to start another game system, but I might just have to pick up that British WW3 box anyway.
This is the way it goes with the hobby!
Was looking at these, but instead (after much wringing of hands) I’m currently saving up for the Battlefront redo of the early war (French, BEF, and German) in plastic for the first time. There’s some previews of the three “starter army boxes” out there at the moment, scheduled for release in spring next year. ALTHOUGH in typical Battlefront manner there’s not enough infantry (although there’s loads in the BEF one), the usual sticking of multiple 88mm AT guns in the box (and not a 37mm or 50mm ATG to be seen)…….sigh, and a horribly selected French one with WAY too many Char 1Bis in the box. BUT early war is the way to go, utter shambles and disorganisation for maximum fun (perhaps look at buying a selection of smaller boxes rather than the starter armies perhaps the better idea here). 🙂
I wonder what Warlord is going to bring out next for Bolt action.
“I’d love to see Melfs, and Mumans”
Immediate mental image of an army of weird albino hippos with kangaroo tails. Somehow not the weirdest of the two options.
Need to contact Footsore to make it happen
And Tove Jansson’s estate, but I’m not sure they would approve…
I have no interest in team yankie, but listening to John’s reviews are brilliant
Unleash the beast
Ben was so close to blowing his beagle on the back of a horse there.
Nice one 🙂
Paranoia is such an awesome rpg! It’s great to see official minis for it!
Yeah – came somewhat out of the blue!
The Wargames Atlantic Survivors would also be very usable for a Terminator Genisys game.
They would – shame that those minis never got a nice upgrade
The Paranoia game and minis look like the most fun 🙂
Settling in. Popcorn and viewing time
Paranoia looks cool. Their stuff is very cool so hopefully it’s in line with them.
When is Terrainfest 2025 starting?
OOoo, Paranoia. I’m sure I played that way back, sometime when I had hair, was slim and youthful. Seem to remember it was a laugh and completely ridiculous. Might have to see what’s going on there
