Sharpe & Knights! New Sprue Sneak Peeks From Wargames Atlantic
January 12, 2026 by brennon
Wargames Atlantic dropped more previews for their ever-expanding Historical range of plastic miniatures. We start with the Sharpe collection, which will feature another familiar face soon as Harper comes to aid Sharpe in his time of need.
Rifleman Harper - Sprue // Wargames Atlantic
This set follows the same formula as the Sharpe sprue in that it comes with both a 54mm version and a 28mm version of Rifleman Harper from the Sharpe's Rifles era. The 54mm version of him features a head that matches that of the mighty Daragh O'Malley, who portrayed the character in the TV series.

You also get that 28mm version of the character with a couple of different options to choose from when it comes to his pose, head and weapon. Building and working on the miniature for Sharpe was a joy, so it's great to see that Harper is waiting in the wings. You might also remember we saw the render for Rifleman Harris recently as well!

It's great to see this range expanding and hopefully, it won't be that long until we get to check out the game that sits behind these miniatures. Of course, there's no reason why you can't currently use these in a range of other Napoleonic games like Chosen Men or Sharp Practice. I'm personally quite a fan of Chosen Men, as it feels like it fits the vibe of Sharpe quite well.
The Barons' War Commanders
As well as the new sprue preview for Sharpe's Rifles, we also got a look at the new The Barons' War Command sprues that are on the way soon.
The Barons' War - Command Sprue // Wargames Atlantic
These sets will give you a selection of options for building both Mounted Command Foot Command for use in your games of The Barons' War. You will have options for building leaders, standard bearers, musicians and all sorts of other colourful characters.

These would be great for the characterful and narratively driven The Barons' War, which will soon be seeing a brand new supplement from Wargames Atlantic. You'll get enough to make the heroes and the villains of your campaigns, marching across ol' Blighty but of course all of Europe and even the Middle East as part of the Crusades.
The Barons' War - Mounted Command // Wargames Atlantic
The Mounted Command elements of the new sets certainly look very nice and decidedly over the top! I like the fluttering banners and the nice hunting hound that is following a noble into the fighting. All of these plastic sets are interchangeable, meaning that you can customise and kitbash your forces in a variety of ways to make a unique retinue for use in The Barons' War.
Could this lure you into the Napoleonic era or perhaps the Medieval?

Looks like the 54mm Harper only has a rifle not his iconic 8 barreled volley gun . Pity
I think it’s because he doesn’t have it in Sharpe’s Rifles. Quick search mentions he doesn’t get it till Sharpe’s Gold but I can’t remember myself if he has it earlier.
you’re correct he gets it as a Christmas present in 1810 and the current Sharpe range is listed as 1809, people need to read the books.
Books? Read? That’s evil witchcraft!
What a Christmas!
I’ve got the books ( what did you think of the new one ,Sharpe’s Assassin ? ) and 3 novellas , a couple of making of tomes ,plus the videos including the ones set in India , and your right he doesn’t have the volley gun in the 1st show , but it is so iconic . When I think of Harper I think of him with it .And the 28mm figure seems to have it as an option .
Wargames Atlantic has said he’ll have another miniature with the gun later on down the line over on social media – so, it will be there at some point!
Looking at the Sprue, it looks like the 28mm has the option for a Volleygun
