How To Play StarCraft Tabletop Miniatures Game
The gameplay seems intuitive if you've ever played a miniatures wargame before. If you'd like to get a bit of an overview of the factions, you can get a glimpse at them below and what you've got waiting for you.

I like that there's plenty of depth included for the various units, reflecting the diverse nature of the units you'd be picking from when playing the computer game.

The shop should be live in 3 hours IIRC but I guess it’ll crash immediately XD Will wait to see how much the actual costs will be.
It’s in maintenance at the moment, so I’m guessing they’re priming to make sure it won’t fall over quite so quickly.
Earlier today it showed “no items yet” so I’m guessing they now put all articles in there and wait to press the button XD
Not sure how much this is on Gamefound or weird conversion rates but the core game is 174,88 € on Gamefound and 169,00 € on the archon store oO
Maybe they’ve factored in something like shipping on the Gamefound site. I’m sure there’s some justification somewhere.
My guess is that GF is converting currencies “real time” but the shop has a fixed value. That’s also why GF has such a crooked number and the shop number is “nice”.
Models look lovely and the game play has some neat ideas but why, oh why the counters? Why ruin the look of the battlefield with all that ‘tat’? Would it not have been beyond the wit of the rules designers to use bit of alien terrain as the marker to show a unit had moved, some ammo crates to show a unit has shot, dead figure for wounds etc.? It’s not just this game though, I can think of so many others… Seriously, if I want to play a game with lots of cardboard counters I may as well play a boardgame rather than a miniatures game.
Each to their own but your suggestions could be implimented by you. I was using glass beads for wounds rather than dice before counters became common. So I guess I am part of the problem
Hell, even the tech YouTube channel “Gamers Nexus” has a segment on StarCraft.

They have 2.6 million subscribers. That could give Archon “a slight boost” in sales I think XD
Well having enjoyed painting zeratuul so much I have ordered, I showed some restraint but not much. Went for the 1 of everything
My group and I want this so bad but after watching the how to play vid we have mostly changed our minds, sort of. The minis look great for the most part and most of the rules seem to work BUT the stupid roll to charge mechanic is probably the most daft mechanic in this hobby. My entire group hates it and we could easily house rule it to simply double move or something else but then we aren’t playing the game as intended and some of my group are old grognard sticklers about such things. We are currently debating on the purchase simply to get the minis to use for other games but we already have more minis than we know what to do with and most of our gaming now-a-days is in smaller scales so who knows. Maybe we’re just too old for any of the new tuff in the hobby, BAH, GET OFF MY LAWN!
Oh, also forgot to say we were a little surprised to see a lack of base building mechanics, although I’m not sure how they would have implemented those. That was not a deal breaker however, just a part of the original game I really enjoyed and was hoping may be included in the game.
They have abstracted the base building, and you buy the “buildings” as part of your list
I must have missed this, thanks for the heads up.
I am going to buy the boxes individually and get Xenos Rampant from Osprey Games. SIMPLES!!!
