Mandoo Games are going to be setting you on a bit of a two-player manhunt with their upcoming card game, Jekyll & Hyde VS Scotland Yard. This chase only lasts about twenty minutes but should be a fun cooperative affair for you to dive into with a friend.

In this game, you and a friend will be taking on the role of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde as you try and balance your duality of personality and stay ahead of the investigation by Scotland Yard. The game's core is a trick-tacking experience but it is tied into objectives that you'll need to complete to move from chapter to chapter and finish the story.

The game features gorgeous artwork by Vincent Dutrait who also worked on the first game in this series, Jekyll Vs Hyde.

Jekyll VS Hyde // Mandoo Games

In this game, you're more combative and whilst you both take control of either the personality of Jekyll or Hyde, you're not working together. The game is played over three rounds where Jekyll must try and resist the urges of Hyde who is trying to take over.

The game still focuses on trick-tacking but here the tricks are measured against each other at the end of the round and whoever wins the most tricks will move the marker that many spaces closer to the final personality. This is a proper battle of wits and Jekyll needs to hold out for three rounds in order to be successful.

I like these neat board and card games based on older works of fiction. The duality of Jekyll and Hyde certainly matches up well with game mechanics and it's cool to see it employed as it is here.
