Bezier Games are going to be bringing a new version of Ultimate Werewolf to the tabletop this year. This time it has a Legacy edge and even has Rob Daviau at the helm who was behind Seafall and of course Pandemic Legacy.

Ultimate Werewolf - Legacy

The game plays like a typical mystery as you try and work out who the Werewolves are amidst your group but there is, of course, a twist in the tale (or should it be tail?).

"Ultimate Werewolf Legacy raises the tension and increases the impact of decisions made by the players, as everything that happens will impact future games. Players are each given a public Family Card in addition to their secret role card, and will team up with the other members of their family to work together…unless one or more of their family members is secretly working against them. Players can earn special abilities that carry over between games as well."

Ultimate Werewolf - Legacy Diary

The Diary is the key new addition to the game as it charts the progress through the story and its campaign. The branching paths and intrigue lain out before you mean that you can even come back and give the game another go to see if it ventures off in a new direction.

By the end of your time playing Ultimate Werewolf Legacy, you will have told a distinctive story about your village and the people within it, and indeed who was ultimately the cause of its downfall or success.

It is pointed out that you will need the Replay Pack in order to take on the campaign again with a new Diary and Family Cards to help guide you. Otherwise, this sounds like a very interesting social deduction game with a layer of Legacy on top to spice it up.

What do you think?
