Me: *about to type ‘careful with that rubber band, you can put an eye out with it’*
Sam: “Good for putting an eye out”
Me: *thinking “damn you @dracs , you stole my heckle!”*
?
Would comment on the rest, but that’s as far as I’ve been able to watch – paused to type this comment and now the vid won’t play and I get error messages even after refreshing the page. ? Will try the YouTube app to see if it’ll play on there. ?
Az’s dice rolling: haven’t seen you play in enough vids to have an opinion on the subject so I’ll just say unless you’re Wheatonian in your bad luck, just roll without worrying. ?
“We’ve just had the stuffing knocked out of us.” – you do know such wordplay is pun-ishable by confiscating your dice right Sam? ?
I think Az is getting into the mindset of a little kid if he keeps forgetting how to tell left from right. ?
Sam’s Irish accent – blimey!
?
“You spot a fashion doll with no clothes.” – I had the exact same reaction as Sam at the exact same moment, lol.
About halfway through and I’m wondering if Sam has ever considered a career in children’s TV? ?
Square is a square – what did I say about wordplay Sam? ?
“We can do anything with rubber bands” – except use them as an effective weapon while atop a speeding locamotive. ?
Side note – regarding them using stuffing to heal themselves, isn’t that kinda like a human stuffing handfuls of offal in though a gaping stomach wound after their guts have spilled out? ?Wow this game is dark.
?
@dracs : I think the reason you find the Dark Heart standing there on his own scarier than with minions is because you’re recalling your Terry Pratchet, specifically the whole a the most dangerous man is one standing on a bridge alone smiling vs a larger group. 😉
Lumpy on a skateboard – I’m imagining he’s like Homer Simpson and surprisingly good at it first time despite his acrofatic physique.
Of course Lumpy want the teapot helmet – the spout is inbuilt trunk armour. ?
Aww, you can’t leave it there – you’ve got to complete the story. 🙁
Watching this has given me an idea for OTT merchandise – Justins&Dragins plushies. And as a bonus each comes with a stat card so you can use the toy in Baby’s First RPG games. ?
Will have to play ahead with the kids to avoid spoilers when watching this. We’ve started and restarted a few times, but need to give this great game some more time.
Will definitely come back to watch this.
Aww! What is this?! You don’t get to play with your own “characters”!?!? But I have characters ready to go!
Hmm, If I got this game I would have to make up some of my own character cards.
Now these guys look like they’d be good to either defend someone or to be whom the little girl needs to be defended against!
I think the brown one protects Mad Max while the cream one menaces Indiana Jones.
Suffice it to say that Colonels Buddy and Buster Darpkaw here (brown and cream, respectively) would have no trouble with “Crawlies” … assuming they weren’t fighting each other.
Loved this, Lance was killing me with his character voice. I am going to have to pick this one up for my kids. Sooooooo good, finish the adventure. I don’t care if Az is not there call him up and finish it. Great job.
this is a good laugh to play even as a group of adults 🙂 we just tend to edit out the beginning part of the stories that have the human characters, to focus more on the toys story 🙂
Aw man, I miss @thisisazrael on the BoW team. Would have loved to follow Lumpy on his skateboarding adventures. And Theodora bravely running into battle, while Flops go shopping for more hats and Stitch gives advice on how to use said hats, while battling enemies with his trusted #2 😀
I play Stuffed Fables with my daughter, and it’s such a great game to get the kids involved. Thanks for taking us along the adventure.
I love how well the mechanics, theme and components all work together in this game. A very fun video, if only Az was still about to see the remaining stories through to completion! Also looks like a game that would work well as a gateway to a full RPG in this world.
Nooo!! Don’t stop there! I want to know how it ends. 🙂
What a wonderful game. It looks harmless and whimsical, but there are quite a few tactical choices to make along the way. I like how the threat ebbs and flows with the number of dice.
