L4 Studios has launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund their game WarQuest. This is reportedly a mass battle board game. It has a hint of adventuring also as you travel from region to region to complete quest and gain large armies to fight for your cause. This is not a game to play through when you only have an hour or so. Per the Kickstarter campaign information, it take 45 minutes to an hour per player to complete a game.

Per the Kickstarter page:

"WarQuest reunites, for the first time since 2006, the design, development and production team that brought you Railroad Tycoon™ the boardgame, Railways of Europe, Conquest of the Empire, and Age of Empires III™ the boardgame. In addition, Ralph Horsley (Lords of Waterdeep, Shadows of Brimstone) is doing the cover, creature races and character art. Don Beyer (Bootleggers and the upcoming Extraordinary Voyages) is writing the rich Myrathian history."

So, you can see there is some really good talent behind the creation of this game. It will be very interesting to see how this game progresses. There is quite a bit in this game's contents. From what I am gathering from the description is that it also has a RISK type play style to it in some aspects. Being a big fan of those types of games (my roots are based in that game) I will be watching this one with interest.
