Ossiarch Bonereapers Get New Warhammer Underworlds Warband
February 10, 2026 by brennon
The Ossiarch Bonereapers are getting themselves a brand new Warhammer Underworlds warband for use to use in the quick card-based miniatures game set against the backdrop of Warhammer Age of Sigmar. Meet Thanatek’s Tithe and a new Rivals Deck.
Thanatek // Warhammer Underworlds
This new warband is led by Thanatek, who has been sent by Nagash to demand the bone-tithe from Embergard. It might have been utterly devastated by the recent Vermindoom but that just means there's more reason to turn over the dead, right? He has been sent to claim what Nagash refers to as truebone. Intriguing.
He isn't arriving in Embergard alone, however and brings some cunning and deadly retainers to watch over him.
Tukhar and Sekhmor // Warhammer Underworlds
Tukhar and Sekhmore are Mortis Reapers, a new unit introduced to the Ossiarch Bonereapers during a recent Warhammer Preview. They are deadly assassins who are experts at bringing down their targets. They are also joined by Xar-Tamok and Medeb-Ahk, Mornial Caste Retainers.

Each of these fellows carries a casket between their two heads, which is used to carry bones and other bits and bobs for Thanatek. It's helpful to have walking luggage that will do anything you ask of it. No more bags for life needed here.
Thanatek's Tithe // Warhammer Underworlds
Thanatek's Tithe acts as a Flex warband in games of Warhammer Underworlds, making it uniquely suited to slay your enemy or play a more treasure-focused game. They have a neat mechanic that utilises Cadaver tokens, which can be used to bring back Mortis Reapers if they should be slain. A great way to give you some staying power IF you line up all of your tactics properly.
Thanatek's Tithe will come out alongside a new Rivals Deck, Nexus of Power. This is perfectly suited to Thanatek and his companions but can be used with any other warband, particularly those with a Flex focus. If you're intrigued by how the new cards work, you can check out the full article HERE.

That Thanatek looks way to happy for someone consisting of bones and toilet paper XD
Well, while he brings his own supply of toilet paper he never has to use it, being undead and all. So he can never run out on a critical moment, if that is not a happy thought I don’t know what is 😉
I like the Mortis Reapers the most of all the models shown here.
Well If I had 4 hands then I’d be happy as well. Mind you, I still probably wouldn’t be able to multitask.
They actually look nice. Tempted…
