In the nineteenth century, the vast Durrani empire stretched across Afghanistan.

A centre of culture, the region was surrounded by a changing world, as Russian and British forces sought to colonize the area.  The alliances which formed the Durrani empire became increasingly frayed, as the order of the world began to change.

In PAX Pamir Second Edition, players take on the role of influential Afghan figures, seeking to form alliances during a turbulent time in history.

Players add allies to their court, raise armies to widen their territory or encourage merchants to prosper in their area. However, the more powerful your coalition becomes, the more open you become to attack by your so-called allies.

Each player is part of a coalition, and alliances are formed with other players to work towards a common goal.  However, as the game progresses, players may find themselves the victim of espionage and assassination attempts by their 'friends', as personal influential dominance takes priority.

This second edition of PAX Pamir greatly improves on the original and features both new mechanics and components to improve gameplay and aesthetic quality.

Currently available on Kickstarter, PAX Pamir second edition has received great pre-release reviews.  If you're a fan of historical gaming, I would highly recommend this interactive game.
