Shiro Games, creators of Northgard which has achieved almost one million downloads on Steam, are now going to be taking their digital game to the tabletop in Northgard: Uncharted Lands.

This game takes elements of the PC game and twists it into a card game of deck building, conquest and development. The game is fast-paced and should rock in at about ninety minutes for between two and five players.

A modular board sits in the centre of the table (modular is always good) and you will need to change your tactics in order to gain Fame. You can gain fame from the boons gifted by territories, developing your colonies, exploring and fighting off monsters. You can also challenge your fellow Vikings too if you like.

On top of making sure that you've got the resources to gain Fame, you'll also have to make sure that your clan is also well supported too, so there should be a good balancing act to play around with.

The game is looking to Kickstarter towards the end of the year and Gen Con should yield more information about the game. We will be watching out for more on this as the art style looks gorgeous from what we've seen so far and...well, it's got Vikings in it!

Have you played the digital version of Northgard this is based on?
