Day of the Dead is an incredible day in which is celebrated all throughout Mexico. Humble families place memories, decorations, flowers and much more at an alter during this one night of a year when the veil is thinnest between the Land of the Dead and the Land of the Living. With hope, their beloved relatives will be able to cross over and revel in the celebration of life and death.

The incredibly successful Kickstarter last year, Die of the Dead encapsulated this theme and portrayed the process through carefully planned movements and dice-throwing mechanics. Now the day of release for those who missed out on the Kickstarter has arrived, and players can help and guide souls into our living land with Radical 8 Games.

Get ready players, it is time to get your alter arranged, bake love into the bread, light the incense, prepare the flowers and stand up the decorations as we are going to celebrate Day of the Dead, board game style.

Players take on the role of friendly spirits in seek of a helping hand to leave the world of the dead and enter the land of the living to reconnect with their families past the veil. Players must manipulate dice which are contained within the caskets that represent souls,  and place 9 dice on the flower-coated steps which approach the other realm. The first person to get their casket travelled with their soul intact over to the land of the living is indeed your winner.

The artwork by Rusembell perfectly encapsulates the theme of Dia De Los Muertos. Respectfully featuring the incredible journey in which souls journey to once more see and connect with their loved ones throughout Mexican Culture.

It is said that these spirits were so competitive, if they would have worked together they could have all seen their family! Unofficial cooperative mode maybe?
