The arena of kickstarter falls silent, the roar of the crowd is stilled as Arena Rex, the game of fantasy gladiatorial combat, emerges triumphant!

Arena Rex Funded

Your eyes do not deceive you my friends, they managed to get about $200,000 over their original goal!

So now that this has drawn to a close, let's take a look at some of the things we can expect to see for Arena Rex.

First up we have some really cool concept pieces which should now become reality thanks to all of you who chipped in to the kickstarter.

Hroka

Proximo

Urien

Sahra and Serequet

With such a wonderful and varied menagerie of miniatures being promised it is no wonder Arena Rex has enjoyed such a success. Where else would you be able to combine the romanticised blood shed of Roman gladiatorial combat with giant scorpion riders and Native American horse women.

All ready a bunch of the miniatures have appeared, providing us with some promising champions of the arena to paint up and send to their deaths or glory.

Micon

Noxius

Otho Mentulus

These are superb character minis. The detail and relative accuracy of the musculature is truly impressive and really makes them look alive. We can be hope that this level of quality continues with the final miniature releases.

If you want to know more about this game, be sure to check out the gameplay video the creators have put out (see above).

Did any of you help to fund this?
