Pre-Order the Rare Cocklegriff from Warploque Miniatures
May 21, 2012 by brennon
You've heard of Hippogriffs and Cockatrice but have you heard of the Cocklegriff? Well head down to Hobbleshire where Warploque Miniatures have unleashed one for Pre-Order!
I have to say that this beast is looking rather impressive. What's good about this miniature is that despite the fact its the head of a Cockerel the model isn't comedic. It has managed to retain a serious tone making it look like a deadly foe! After all, these are the mounts the Halflings of Hobble shire use when going to war!
Be quick if you want one though, they are running out fast!

Warploque stuff isn’t just impressive – it’s imaginative too, and this is no exception. I have to agree it’s not comedic as there aren’t any exaggerated cartoony features – it’s just got a scaled up bird’s head with a sharp curved beak so it looks fearsome at that size. The comb is finely done too as it’s irregular and looks very natural. Perfect for RPG use, or perhaps Storm of Magic games, or even just the display cabinet.
My first thought was a lion, that crashed into a rear of a giant chicken … 😛
But as thc303 puts it, very imaginative and quite strange, so it would be a very interesting monster for use in Mordheim.
I must say that that has rather unique sculpt. Basically its like griffon but instead of having one half eagle or any other bird of prey, its chicken. Yet it does look rather fearsome dispite that.
Now that’s a sight to see. I bet he rules the roost 😛
