Happy Sunday CoGs and OTTers!
Foist?!
A great show and I think that I’m in my SAGA (for example) phase. All armies all the time. I think I found inspiration for a Samhain force at some point.
Now @brennon is that anime of Fruits Basket, His&Her Circumstance and Azumanga Daioh on your shelf and a 1:8 scale rando anime girl (possibly Girls Und Panzer)? By the by, the Diehard minis would be great for your Conan baddies under Chaos
@avernos look back to Cat’s Eye for those kinds of big nose gobbos and rejoice for inspiration for your next purchase.
@lloyd tsk tsk… We all know heroic 10mm is a dead end other than for your oddball train scaling for the obscure European measurement that only exists in Germany and didn’t expand into the UK. Start into bust painting and lose your money in a new and intriguing direction for us all to watch.
A great day to one and all. Also a great show as always.
Highlander had sequels? Never heard of them. It’s all news to me!
Yeah there was only one.
And a tv series that was mildly interesting.
Which direction?
All of them at the same time.
I find myself bouncing between historical and fictional.
Does the wild west count as historical?
Considering how fictional the exploits in Saga are In temped to say yes. But it is it?
Everything all at once. Everything louder than everything else!

Can confirm @brennon, the most recent run of Conan comics from Marvel is, as @avernos says, absolutley , brilliantly bonkers. The fact that they gave him his own team of Savage Avengers was *chef’s kiss*. I’d be remiss though in not shouting out the excellent minis they did for Belit & Valeria, then capped off their run with King Conan.
Give Titan’s current run a chance though – They are currently priming for a story touching on *all* of Robert E Howards characters and so far it’s been charmingly bonkers.
(oh yes, and the unlicensed The Cimmerian series – collected in 3 volumes – has some great adaptations of the original Conan stories).
Happy Sunday COGz an OTTers ? let the fun an lunacy begin?
Yay Warren gaffer doing his gathering bit to keep you minions on your toes ? ?
Their is only one Hightlander ?!?
Hide the chipshops the fockers are coming Ben ?
That terrain will be good for LotR player’s with the destroyed sulps an the like
Jimangi @avernos Jimangi with the elephant v buses ?
Yay Lloyd chuffed with his train’s ?
We will know who’s going nuts when we see on the news of some crazy man in Ireland terrifying the Cop’s in Northern Ireland ?!??
Are mantic selling the vehicles/flyers separate or just in the unit set’s I tried a while ago and couldn’t find then anyone ?!??
yeah they’re all separate
Ooh thanks for that @avernos
Just think you can play the Dirty dozen at the big house Ben
Joe 90 as well ?!?
Terrorhawks had Thatcher in it ??
Spring ends then winter starts again in Scotland ???
Although it was snowing the other week up North?
Lloyd has the shed off water ?
Under bridge’s @avernos?
Fab show guy’s ?
I have never seen an xlbs so unhinged. I am worried and delighted by Lloyd
Happy Sunday
Lady Hawk. Peak pun achieved. I can turn off now. XD
I was wrong. Stretch that headband. Jeebus XD
Next up Lloyd stretches the leg warmers. Soon enough Gerry will be in a spandex leotard and Ben will be playing the theme to “Flashdance” on a tapedeck boombox.
I’d watch that 🙂
??
Happy Sunday.
There is only one Highlander, one Crow, and possibly one Prophecy, I’m not sure. It’s been such a long time since I watched the Prophecy films.
I’m certainly in a science fiction phase. I’ve been painting a load of bugs and various heroes and soldiers for Five Parsecs Bug Hunt. Looking forward to playing the game soon.
I loved Terrahawks back in the day, how could you say such a thing Gerry, although I do agree Space Precinct wasn’t good.
Oh, and you really should get Kevin on for a chat. Forbidden Psalm is a very good, fast and simple set of rules and the amount of content you get in the new hardback is amazing).
I’ve already reached out
im in a dc mezco action figure phase.
Happy Sunday cogs…..
@lloyd cracks me up.
Nice nod to the 35th anniversary of Peter Jackson’s Bad Taste being released in America, although it was a belt that Peter Jackson’s character Derek had round his head not a headband. Maybe the team could do a 7TV live battle for the 37th anniversary of the New Zealand release in December?
@brennon World at War can be streamed on UKTV play.
I’m currently in a Kings of War phase, although I’m making slow progress on my first army.
@lloyd if you’re looking to have an immersive experience for that arena combat game you showed I know someone who has terrain you could build for a city that was renowned for it’s gladiatorial games?
More and more boardgames
I have the jungle stuff – and an army project to go with them. They were a candidate for a spring clean challenge. Ah well there’s next year …
Turnip phase. All turnips all the time. Turnips.
Ey hang on when are the Mastudans coming?
The road map that Mantic set out at the start of the year says June. So allowing for some slippage maybe in the next few months?
I don’t think they’ll be slipping, very much nailed on for the summer campaign
My hobby is staying with 40K, for the most part. Massively invested in it, even if I am left cold by both 10th Edition and GWs insane push to tournament-style nonsense. The whole ITC terrain crap has not helped either. The days of interesting tables and armies is gone, at least in my area.
Saying that, I’m pushing more for Combat Patrol and more importantly, Boarding Actions. BA is a superb game. Close, tactical, reasonably balanced due to the more restricted options, make shenanigans harder to pull off.
Saying all, that, I DO need to get more games of Battletech and Legion, as well as break out Dropfleet and get that played. Maybe even return to Blood Bowl. Oh, and Crisis Protocol. Maybe a bit less 40K than I thought…
