Introducing The Factions Of Carnevale

Lewis and Jason from TT Combat drop by the studio to show off the amazing miniatures from the world of Carnevale.
The bottom line on the groups that wander the streets of Venice is that they are all a bit insidious. The guys show off each of the factions from the psychopathic Patricians to the sociopathic Doctors, with the vampiric Strigoi thrown in for good measure.
Each of the factions has their own interests that drive their nocturnal skirmishes against each other and Lewis shares a bit of information about how some of the factions may expand...

I’m going to have to paint up my Vesperon Carnevale mini’s before the TT Combat mini’s turn up. As for other factions, I started to convert part of the Vatican forces into a sub-faction. The Cardinal (I’m blaming Peter Capaldi for this faction, as the old Cardinal mini reminds of him from the BBC’s Musketeers TV series)and his Red Guard, will always put France 1st and twist the Vatican’s wishes to the Cardinals end. Hard question for me, I’ve used guild, rasharr, strigoi and Vatican. I’ve enjoyed them all, and I wasn’t expecting to liken guild, but I think rasharr get the most use out of the canals, when using 2 non swimming factions, that element is hardly used.
the patricians look good and remind of the clock work robots in Dr who.
I do love Strigoi. You can actually have Dracula and his wives.
Dracula is horrendous to face. No one in our group is yet to kill him. And he hits like a truck. Rules wise he has 6 attack dice, he spends 2 health as will to get 2 more, and his wife buffs him adding 2 more. So as you can never have more than 10 dice in a roll, he has maxed out attack. Most guys have 4 protection but his halberd deducts 2 off of that, so may shrug off 1 or 2 of the damage, but unless he fluffs it (he gets 2 reroll too) he is knocking… Read more »
I’ve mostly been interested in the Patricians, but both the 2 Player starter factions are great and to be honest it’s one of those games where there aren’t any unappealing factions at all.
