Rick Priestley Google Hangout POSTPONED!

So we are going through a 'Weather Bomb' here coming in from the Atlantic, and it seems to be playing havoc with our Internet connections! We cannot establish a decent connection with the outside world, so we're going to reschedule for Next week!
Sorry guys, but Forces of Nature have defeated us!
Tonight at 8pm/20:00 GMT we're going to have Rick Priestley of enormous fame sitting down for a chat with us on a Google Hangout! We'll be talking about his latest Sci-Fi project, Beyond The Gates of Antares from Warlord Games...
As you saw on The Weekender this last week we got our hands on the Beta Edition of the rules (which are looking very plush and awesome even as a stand-in product!) and we're going to be diligently working our way through it to find out how this new game is going to play and what gems we can find within its pages. You can download said Beta Edition of the rules HERE for free!
The push has begun on the actual miniatures for the game and both the Boromites and Algoryn have got some packs out for you to check out and test out the rules. I'm loving the look of the Algoryn with their almost Turian look from Mass Effect. Can't say no to some mining-turned-warrior Boromites either with their rather cool stoney skin. Some cool weapons are at their command too.
If you're interested in finding out more about the game, it's background, plans for the future and of course much more then tune in on Wednesday night and we'll have some great content for fans of the game and those looking forward to learning more.
Post your questions below in the comments and we'll take them and put them to Mr Priestley! Maybe we'll also get some questions answered about games other than Gates of Antares too!

I will definitely be watching this. I have been following Antares ever since the original Kickstarter campaign, and I am always on the look out for more information about the project. The models that have recently been released are excellent – I particularly like the Algoryn, and the Algoryn Infilitrator squads contain many examples of female sci fi models down really well, which proves that it is possible if people try – but I am most interested in some of the forthcoming factions including the Isorians and especially the Concord, which has been my faction of choice from the off.… Read more »
Has anyone seen the 3D renders for the new version of the Ghar Battle Suit? It is a huge improvement over what went before, now really conveying a sense of almost insectoid mechanised menace.

You’ll be able to watch it here on the BoW website. I don’t know if Warren plans to incorporate viewers’ comments into the show this time. If not then that’s all you need to know. If so then if you want to contribute you’d have to go wherever Warren is checking the comments. I think the chat function on the BoW website was mentioned but either way, he’ll likely tell us during the show.
TL:DR – just come to Beasts of War to watch it 🙂
Really looking forward to this, some questions:
1) In the background, sometimes the Borumites work quite closely with the Freeborn. In the future, will it be likely that we will be able to field a combined force with units from both factions? And if so, will Freeborn be available as allies to other factions also?
2) Cheeky question, but will the spotter drones be available to buy separately for those who picked up early release kits at Salute and are sadly droneless?
I love the algoryn models, Stuck at work though so I won’t be able to watch the live event, will have to catch up afterwards.
Question 1 what’s the release schedule look like? Which armies when?
Question 2 will the original concept of a game, gamers feed in the wins and losses, effected universe still be coming if so how?
