The build up to the kickstarter convinced me to take the plunge.
The iron horses look really awesome, and the paint jobs are sweet as well.

Think i will have to give this a chance. I generally am not to keen on the vehicle design, but after seeing some of the infantry sculpts in person( otlaws) I have to say the look great! I will replace malifaux for me as i was not to keen on the 2 edition.

Looks like the next turn’s initiative will be very important. Could we see history change and have Abraham Lincoln instead be killed by an exploding robot-zombie? Loving the shenanigans with Edison. Can’t wait for the rest!

one thing i’m wondering about is will there be the possibility to fight in buildings? like a good old saloon shoot out? I’m just thinking about the great 4ground buildings….hmmmm
You can enter the buildings and fight in. You can also burn or destroy them (a good option when enemy models are shooting at you from the second floor of the saloon).
I’m enjoying this but for some reason the word ‘Quickness’ hurts my ears… what’s wrong with the word ‘Speed’?
Got to say, I love the idea of MechAbe Lincoln hacking up a giant train car of DOOM!
got a little confused with some of the influence uses, so it looks like back to the rulebook i must go
Really enjoying the playthrough. I’m guessing this game is reliant on terrain like other miniatures games? Does anyone have experience playing this game without terrain like this?
This game plays best with a fair amount of terrain. Otherwise things will die rather quickly, and certain factions rely on cover more than others (Warrior Nation and Holy Order as an example).
After hearing you guys talk about activation tokens for games and now seeing a game being played using activation. It seems so much better than my turn your turn and seems to add greater tactical depth to a game.
the game looks pretty fun and easy to pickup. I would definitely be the outlaws though.

Does Influence affect the entire table? Or is it limited in range from its source? Does it go away when the contributing fig takes a dirt nap? Does it renew each turn? Since it seems an important factor in the game play, you need to be a little more specific with its use/properties.
Otherwise, great video.
At the beginning of each turn, you build an Influence pool by adding the influence value of each of your models still alive.
You can spend Influence anywhere on the table, on any dice roll even on the initiative roll.
For the next turn, Justin have to win the initiative roll to play first and try to keep Abe alive. He should spend 1 or 2 Influence on this crucial roll.

One thing I really liked about the first video, which I know has been mentioned before is the letting you know what each players beginning strategy is. It is fun to see the strategy evolve and change as the game situation changes. Love the table and the models. I have purchased a few and I love their plastic models. I have had nothing but problems with their resin models. They are very brittle and even the slightest amount of pressure will cause the delicate parts to snap. Wish they would all be plastic, based on their great plastic models.

I like the synergy, but the game does seem to bog down with all of the special abilities. I would hesitate to try a bigger battle then they are doing now.

I don’t know if anyone else appreciated that Justin wanted to put the top back on the building to keep the game looking pretty, but that’s how I like to play. Keep it neat and tidy so the visual is maintained.

Really think there should be a plate of biscuits beside the table, and every-time Justin says ‘Risk it for a Biscuit’ then take one. Interesting round, I kinda thought that, with the amount of lead flying from the war machine, there should be some sort of panic mechanic for the targets.
Sometimes you have to take a Courage test. When a model is hit by weapons with the Fire or Blast special rule and weapons with at least power 14.
Saw this for the first time at the LVO, great looking little game, I must have Tesla!

The tactics and strategy interstitials are a nice addition to these battle reports. They really help to build the tension, seeing if a plan works out as intended.
Really like skirmish level games, focusing on individual models doing things with lots of special skills. Also the steampunk western universe looks pretty good; would like to paint some miniatures. Looking forward to seeing what the confederate and golden and factions look like.
Backing the Conan kickstarter has left me destitute… but I’m going to have to find a way to back this too…
Doc C is nasty with that big rifle of his, but Abe can chop him up nicely 😉

someone mentioned before but I cant see any rules that would define this game, in case of most games you can tell like malfaux – soulstones and cheat, wolfsung Cards, casters in warmahordes, infinity orders and reaction and so on, There is nothing in this game that would make it unique. In my opinion. love the models an really want to read books but I’m still waiting for some epic action in game.
Excellent synergies between the characters. Enjoying it so far.
