A friend and I are planning to make the trek all the way from the West coast of Canuckistan.

Been wanting to attend one of these weekends for a while now.

When they announcevthe tickets we’ll know more, interestingly as I said earlier one of hotels Gerry mentioned ‘The Lodge appears to be fully booked for that weekend according to one site.

So while we speculate , if you get a place what faction are you considering?

Afrika Korps is who I will be picking, I already have a sizeable British force, mainly LRDG with about 8 chevrelets and jeeps plus around 30 foot figs, plus Ben Carriers , a troop of Honeys, Matildas etc mainly from Crouchie of the old Cheiftain models.

I only msnaged 1 squad of Afika Korps and 1 Squad of Italians befote ran out of steam.

So Bootcamp would give me push to do more, plus Afrika Korps arr good baddies for Pulp Fiction/Indiana Jones games.

Just had a look at the Lodge site  , wonder if Beast have arranged something as on Bootcamp nights the hotel is fully booked?

The Thursday and Sunday nights are free.

Looking forward to try out a boot camp. And I just checked with work, that I can have a few days off. Now I just need the tickets for the boot camp. And well all the other stuff.. Plain tickets  and so on. I think I will go with the 8 army

@brucelea … HAPPY early BIRTHDAY!!!  Glad to hear you will be attending.  It involves tanks so of course @oriskany is having me book flights as I type.

We’re planning on staying a full week to make our hop across the pond worth while.  Looking up hotels on Trip Advisor and I can second @gerry ‘s comment about the Lodge and the Premier.  Both offer breakfast, wifi, and parking.  The Lodge is a little fancier while the Premier is basic chain hotel accommodations.

Well hold on a second, @gladesrunner –  Yes, @avernos says those hotels are within stumbling distance … but we have to remember that Gerry is in fact the BoW nephilim giant who’s 200 feet tall.  “Stumbling distance” for him may be a relative thing.  😀 😀 😀

As I am ever the pessimistic soul, I am waiting to see if I can get a ticket before booking anything. I am planning on going full on @gaz and painting through the weekend (and nights) to see how much I can get done, so a room with a desk is a must. I am also debating whether or not to fly, or drive and bring my hobby kit with me. Are you guys staying in Northern Ireland all week, or off wandering once the boot camp is over?

Actually @gerry is reasonably accurate on this one, the Lodge is in town on other side of River

and Travel lodge is further up river on studio side nearer the the other bridge (useful for Dark Age Fort)
