Good Evening all,
From a 8 year hobby hiatus – to walking into my local LGS here in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, UK – found a hive of activity going on, they had this demo board setup for Star Wars: Shatterpoint – the store owner enticed me to a demo game – and boy was my hobby spark re-ignited and went back home and tried to dig out my hobby boxes for my brush and paint – went back in few days later and picked up the core set and here is my progress so far
from this point I joined in my 1st premier showdown the shop had running on the weekend – which ths shop owner allowed me to setup one of the boards using my terrian
for this I used 2x core set terrian to make my board layout
The next was I choose to paint up the move/range tools as a test to see if I could lay down some paint on my plastic crack addiction
now trying my hand at some of the minis
Then tonight Friday, 29th December 2023 – just finished of theese guys

similar to Table Tennis – as I’am a national referee here in the UK
the people/community is what makes this hobby and my sport so great
thank you so much for looking at my post and taking time to reply

December 31, 2023 at 9:25 am #1855316Welcome back into the hobby! Cracking work so far! It’s so nice to see any game fire someone’s excitement back up again. I managed to get my terrain painted but I have to admit that’s as far as I got with Shatterpoint. Look forward to seeing more from you in the new year.

am excited to be back in the mix of my local community and fellow nerds – realy enjoy tabletop gaming – now my quest each time i walk down to my local LGS – I try and inspire others to give the game a go as I know once they play a fast paced skirmish game a change from the 40k world – they will be hooked
