Supers : a generic superhero skirmish rulebook

The team behind Starbreach (a generic SF skirmish game) have announced a version that uses superheroes (and villains).

The system is inspired by Bolt-Action and you can create your own heroes/villains (or recreate existing ones).
The (beta) rules are free to download, so you can see if it works for you without spending a penny.

I think this could be a great alternative to the ‘officially licensed’ superhero games.
