    ### Start of shameless copy & paste ###

First time visitor to OTT? Then please introduce yourself in the New Member Thread and look around in the Project System. Then come back and read on…

Read all of this before you start as it will save any trouble later.

First thing you must do is make your “pledge”. It can be anything gaming related, big or small, and you don’t even have to finish it. No, in here, happiness is the road. Have fun doing whatever it is, but it is not a race. Accompany your work with pictures or we might think you are do something sinister and just using us for cover.

You are also presented with a few questions. It is to get the conversation started. Try and keep your answers ‘conversational’, no text speak, and certainly no “basically”. This is how we all get to know each other better. While you are here feel free to tell us a story, show a picture, joke, tales of love or woe, or just add your own little bit. This is the whole point…in here it is just us.

If you have never taken part before we may bark and bite, but we also like a cuddle! It is all done in the best possible taste and it is character building. feel free to give as good as you get.

A few other things to note: NO RELIGION & NO POLITICS! Glasgow pub rules are in effect. If you need to make a better point then it is fine, but don’t take the piss. And always keep it civil.

Play plenty of music to go with your work. Loud and through proper speakers. Write us a playlist of things we might not have heard before.

Now, after all of that there is only one ‘real’ rule in here and it cannot be broken: NO DICKS! (Exceptions may be made for little fighting men with little plastic/resin/metal wieners)

And don’t forget the highlights of the weekend: The Weekender on Friday and XLBS on Sunday. And the little show that is the unofficial Hobby Hangout over at twitch.tv

    ### End of shameless copy & paste ###

Did you noticed the new author in the news?

    If I’m honest – No.

What’s the perfect amount of hours of sleep for you?

If I wake up and I’m rested, that’s perfect.

May 4th will bring us “The Bad Batch” on Disney+. Are you excited?

I have the shits with Disney. I hate cancel culture, especially whenit’s backed with hypocrisy of the level of Disney.  I’m a fan of the idea of a war amongst the stars where effectively one family of space wizards fights with itself to rule the galaxy.  I don’t want social justice or lessons in inclusivity. Just give me war, spaceships and wizards.

    @torros

The Bad Batch is a sequel to the Clone Wars series following a group of specialist/defective clone troopers.

    And X rated… hmm…. in a way, maybe.

    Maybe she is Warren’s boss ? 😀

// What’s the perfect amount of hours of sleep for you?

any amount that results in me being awake ?
Bed can be soo warm and comfy I don’t want to get out even after getting all my sleep

// May 4th will bring us “The Bad Batch” on Disney+. Are you excited?
Haven’t even watched the Mandalorians’ 2nd episode.
I have almost finished ‘Rebels’ though.

Well let’s give one of these a go….

Happy almost weekend all! Still got around 10 hours or so to go on this side of the Atlantic but already looking forward to it.

For this weekend I pledge to get the first six mini’s for my future Frostgrave warband done.

    1. I did catch the announcement that @fcostin would be joining the team as a writer (welcome aboard!) but hadn’t noticed she authored so many articles already.  To be fair though I only popped open one or two of those for a quick skim…been that kind of week 🙂

    2. Seems 7-8 is nice when I can get it but usually operating on 6-7 🙂

    3. I’ll check out the Bad Batch but I wouldn’t say I’m really excited for it.  I loved the Clone Wars and Rebels (minus the time travel/reality jumping bit) but this feels like it might be one of those spinoffs that never really amounts to much.   I also think the basic premise (as I know it) puts it in a tough spot.  Most likely it’s going to be a “good guys trapped in the employ of the bad guys, working for truth and justice from within the system when they can” but, past a couple episodes of soul searching to realize their working for the “wrong side”,  is that much different than a rebel force avoiding the Empire?  It might be interesting if they stay loyal to the Empire and run around terrorizing rebels left and right (perhaps as the pre-cursors to the Knights of Ren or something like that) but that probably gets too dark and may not be interesting for long either.   I do like what Filoni has done so far though and if it can find its own identity and still operate in the overall universe in a reasonable way perhaps I’ll be happily surprised.

Haven’t even watched the Mandalorians’ 2nd episode.

I wasn’t too impressed with the Mandalorian early on but I feel like it improves to a relatively solid “ok” as they start bringing pieces together over time.

Hello all… it has been a while. Well past due that I got back involved with this community.
Many thanks to @sundancer for keeping this going!

My Pledge: Elves, ruins and D&D 🙂
I’ve come back around to an old project and started a new one. Each keeps me from getting sick of the other.

    To your questions…

    1. ahh nope… sorry! In my own defence, my interaction with the site has mostly consisted of running through the news each morning while trying to absorb my coffee and breakfast in the ~20 minutes that I give myself between getting up and getting ready… and irregularly watching the Weekender and XLBS.

    2. About 7 hours. I can get a sleep in on Sunday, and most Thursday’s if I need to catch up.

    3. My daughter and I are both super excited for it. We both really enjoyed the Clone Wars, especially the last few seasons. (Rebels was good, but CW is better). We’ve both really enjoyed the Mandalorian as well 😀

As usual, I’ll be at work Saturday, maybe get a little hobby Sunday and maybe Monday. Monday night is D&D night at my place… we’re getting close to the end of the Descent into Avernus story it seems.

    Music?

    @sundancer once upon a time I could get away with 5 hours…

Had no enthusiasm tge last couple of weeks

@torros sometimes it’s hard to get the momentum going just to pick up the brush.

I have the shits with Disney. I hate cancel culture, especially whenit’s backed with hypocrisy of the level of Disney.

@horus500 Agreed. Personally, I’m sick of being conflicted over Disney. I’m enjoying some of the stuff they’re producing at the moment, but the whole politic-BS situation makes me want to turn off.

@limburger Rebels was good. After watching it through, we went back and watched Rogue One and found a couple of little easter eggs crossed over from Rebels.
The Mandalorian does go pretty well.

@bali Hi! Just starting Frostgrave? I’ve only recently started playing it. How has your experience been so far?
My expectation for the Bad Batch will be: start with the newly formed Empire, go rogue, side with the Scum and Villainy… maybe help the early rebellion we’ve seen in other shows, but hang out mostly with the Bounty Hunter types.

Any way… all this talk of bed and sleep… it’s time for me.

@bali I just saw so many series I wanted to (re)watch that I never got to the 2nd episode.
I kind of liked what I saw though, but at the same time I don’t want to watch them all in case I run out of episodes before the new season.
Got 1 more season of rebels and all of Clonewars to do.
It is interesting to see how Rebels referenced the classic trilogy and the prequels without damaging either.

Unlike the prequel trilogy which managed to wreck the entire SW universe before Phantom Menace was finished …
And the less said about the final trilogy the better. I don’t know what the heck they were thinking (mo money maybe, but not more story)

@rayzryr  : Still in the “looking ahead with anticipation” phase at the moment.  I ordered the rule book back when OTT did their Frostgrave stuff but stuck a pre-order for the Red King expansion on there as well which has held up the works (should be shipping soon!).  Not a big deal though as it’s let me get my ideas for my warband going and start painting things up (Project Page).  Hopefully get some terrain making in as well.

Also watched a bunch of stuff here and on Guerilla Games amongst others to help build the hype 🙂

@limburger : I’m with you on the last batch of movies.  Sad that the latest three make the prequels look good (minus force bacteria and an awkward love story).  In my opinion you’re in for a treat with Clone Wars.  I think it’s some of the best Star Wars stuff going (especially as it ramps up over time).
