using company software to do hobby?
yeah but still didn’t work. Back to pen & paper.
Question: missed it.
@grantinvanman no you didn’t. No new question for the current week 😉
Monday. Long day. ‘nough said.
May 20, 2025 at 6:48 am #1929572Tuesday and yes, Monday was very long.
We went to a school play. I’ll quote my wife here: “my gods that was terrible”
13 year olds doing an interpretation of Disneys animated Aladin in English(!!!) was… less said about it the better. Normally my wife is 100% supportive on such things so when she says “it’s terrible” then it is, indeed, FLOCKING TERRIBLE.
Why had we to be there? Our daughter was part of the choir that had 1 (one!) 5 minute segment for a song. 90 minutes of terrible acting and 5 minutes of music.
But that is done now. And we can move on. Hopefully XD
May 20, 2025 at 8:01 am #1929582@sundancer It is always a valuable thing to do to support the younglings when they are performing in anything. They are uniformally terrible in my experience and yes, my youngling/s were usually on show for only 5 minutes in a couple of hours worth of dreadfulness. It does give you something to hold over them when they are older 🙂
@limburger I’ll sort out a project to dump some pictures in temporarily -yes including one of the budget hotel room as you are so insistent 😀
Question: Don’t question the question (or lack of question)!

Who’s asking?
It does give you something to hold over them when they are older
Funny thing, my wife said something similar to that XD

@danlee 1s and 0s gaming going to the tabletop? That being older than Fallout and far removed from the genre, this is good
@sundancer Painful? That’s not pain. Klingon music theory is a train wreck for the brain once you strap in for the ride without technical understanding. I only finished the video out of sheer willpower
@limburger The real answer can be found in Rule 34. 42 is a lie. The cake is a lie, unless it is backstory and is appropriately proportional to the plot.

That’s self inflicted harm! Nothing would have changed if you didn’t watch it. I on the other hand would have change the life of my child had I not been there!
Now, Wednesday. Dudes!
May 21, 2025 at 6:12 am #1929737Things aren’t working in the site again! Weird. Still Tuesday here. For 49 minutes.

The promised shot of Partizan’s best game – Mount Badon Midgard Heroic Battles
And just for @limburger here’s the budget hotel room:
May 22, 2025 at 5:06 pm #1929874@zoidpinhead that’s a massive hotelroom … it’s even got a bed and a window.
May 23, 2025 at 12:22 am #1929894@grantivanman What in the hell was that? Have you been playing with the World of Darkness crowd again?
@zoidinpinhead I caught some videos covering Partizan, it looked like some kick ass boards were done up.
Storm of Steel Wargaming put on a recap of Partizan that looked pretty good. I won’t say my feeling has changed from preferring smaller engagement on 6×4 tables. I do have an appreciation for all the effort for painting even down to the 6mm scale that those WWI engagements showed off.
I really liked how much work went into the Battle of Sargajas table with all the Gripping Beast plastics there were. I will reel in my only gripe that they could’ve been a bit more punchy visually. With that amount of minis out there they need to be knocked out. Speaking of GB plastics there were a lot of Vikings and medieval that I thought I recognized in others.
The sheer measure of some of the tables was impressive. I was curious about how the cherry trees were made for the Battle of Shimonoseki @11:56 of Storm of Steels video. I think Luke’s APS did a how-to long ago before he quit YouTube and still might sell the blossom bunches. I might check that out again
Henry Hyde had a pretty good take and I was pleased to see his coverage of participation games. SAGA Age of Chivalry and the Digital racing looked like they would’ve been good things to draw people into play. A couple of Mighty Empires might’ve been good as a diveraion from fantastic things. Further down that route Alexander the Brief could have been some time well spent getting into that era. I do hold that the Hairfoot Jousting took more of my interest from the board and ease of entry with regard to figure count.
*sigh* I might need to attend another con aside from Ghengiscon here in Denver.

Do it! @horati0nosebl0wer
It’s Friday. This Friday is homeoffice day. Because the daughter got sick. Again. *sigh*
