Crusaders & Conquerors From Wargames Illustrated At Salute

Two of the Giants In Miniature collector models are going to be available for you to snap up at Salute this weekend from Wargames Illustrated. We start with Balian d'Ibelin, the Crusading Knight.

You might know this character if you've watched Kingdom Of Heaven (one of my favourite films actually). He was one of the men who defended Jerusalem against the invading forces of Saladin and his army. He was a valiant warrior, and also known as the 'Hairy One' because of his thick body hair!

He went on to have a hand in many other events in the Middle-East following the battle and was a very influential figure. A perfect warrior to have at your side in games of SAGA!

Alexander The Great

As well as Balian we also go back to Ancient History where you can pick up Alexander The Great for your conquering armies.

Another famous and commanding figure in history worthy of a good paint job I'd say. The model is very cool indeed and shows him leading his men forward onto victory.
