Mantic Games Tease New Kings Of War Halflings & Trident Realm
November 11, 2025 by brennon
Mantic Games held their Open Day recently and some great previews came out of it. Kings of War will be welcoming some nice new 28mm scale Fantasy miniatures and we got some nice sneak peeks for the Halflings and the Trident Realms.
Ej Drakon Rider // Kings of War
What creature should you give to the ever-responsible Halflings of Pannithor? They already take to the skies with their Aeronauts and the Ej Grenadiers but what about a living, breathing creature? A war machine can only do so much. All those injured drakons have been looked after and nursed back to health, some with mechanical wings.
Now, they take to the skies and are used for scouting and patrolling as well as dealing out some well-deserved justice to those who injured them. That Halfling rider is looking like he is having far too much fun. Does this mean more of their houses will burn down? Yes. Does that matter? No!
The Halflings aren't done with drakons and there was also this fun addition to the army, the Swamp Belcher.
Swamp Belcher // Kings of War
This is very Discworld. When a drakon ends up consuming various swamp fungi from the marshes, they changes. No longer can they fly, fire permanently smouldering from within their bellies. This also means they can project fire in large, terrifying gouts!
Initially, the Swamp Belchers were used for hunting but they are now very handy on the battlefield. No one is quite sure that this is a good idea but as long as the Swamp Belcher is facing towards the enemy, it should all be fine.
New Trident Realms Miniature
The Trident Realms are doing what they can to try and hold back the invasion by the Xirkaali. Sometimes, it falls to the Trident Kings to rouse other creatures to battle to drown the enemy under waves and waves of their warriors.
Trident King // Kings of War
There are only three of these mighty creatures known to exist at one time. They all wear the Masks of Medusa, a relic and treasure that gives the bearer incredible power. No one knows if these Trident Kings are the same warriors that were initially given their masks or if the relics have been handed down to a new, mighty leader.
A glorious new miniature with two twisting creatures dragging the Trident King's chariot into battle.
Are you going to be picking up these new characters for Kings of War?

Get it right… a fat dragon in a wheelchair. Is that flame in his mouth, or has his ginger wig fell off?
