Anthalonica Wargaming has been showing off some new 28mm Modern Soldiers for use in a variety of different Historical wargames and Near Future engagements. The first of these are the Bearclaw Mercenaries.

This is a set of four miniatures for their Warfighter collection. They represent the Bearclaw Mercenaries that fight on the fictional Anthalonica. They are wearing their trademark Gorka suits and carry western weaponry that was taken during the first Civil War. They are now looking to stir up some chaos on the island.

The set comes with three male and one female miniature allowing you to make a neat strike team for you to use in your games. They have also been designed to allow for head swaps if you prefer and also can be added alongside other 28mm ranges pretty easily.

Perhaps set against the Bearclaw Mercenaries, we also have the Moody Mercenaries who really have taken the moniker to heart.

This is another set of metal (it should be noted all of the miniatures are in metal unless it's one of the resin masters) modern soldiers that have been tooled up to dive right into the middle of a hostile warzone. You can tell they mean business because one of them is rocking shades and a beard.

I think this gives off the Delta Force vibes but also a team of soldiers that have become sick of fighting for a particular country and now shop their skills around to the highest bidder. With Modern Warfare-era wargames becoming quite an interesting option for hobbyists over the last few years, these would be a great addition to someone's collection.

I also reckon that it is worth taking a look at these as options for something Post-Apocalyptic and Near Future too. Anthalonica also has the neat Blue Light Miniatures range and a big 15mm Collection as well worth having a look at.

Are you tempted by these new 28mm miniatures?
