Spectre Miniatures Let The Dogs Out On Modern Battlefields
April 30, 2025 by brennon
Spectre Miniatures are letting loose some brand new miniatures on 28mm Modern Warfare battlefields. There is a selection of new operatives for you to choose from, including two sets of dog handlers who are going to be unleashing the bestest boys on the enemy.
Task Force Dog Team // Spectre Miniatures
The handler wears modern tactical clothing and a high-end plate carrier, whilst the dog is also strapped up in a light tactical harness. The eyes are protected with a pair of ballistic goggles and he also has a multispectral camera mounted on his head. This allows someone viewing the footage to get a peek at what the dog has sighted when it goes hunting. A soldier's best friend?
The second dog handler is from the Agent QRF Dog Team.

Fitting nicely into a Quick Reaction Force, this operator comes with a respirator, which indicates they are expecting a certain kind of threat. He is wearing civilian clothing but with a regular plate carrier and more on top to keep him safe.
The dog is wearing body armour to protect it from small-calibre firearms and it is also wearing a protective mask and goggles to shield it. This means that its delicate eyes, ears and nose are protected from the same things the operator expects. It also features a camera mounted on the head.
More Quick Reaction Force Miniatures
If you'd like to bulk out your Quick Reaction Force operator set then you can also get your hands on three more miniatures that come armed with a variety of specialist weaponry.
Agent QRF - Breacher // Spectre Miniatures
Agent QRF - Carl Gustav // Spectre Miniatures
Agent QRF - Shotgun // Spectre Miniatures
You have the Breacher armed with a pistol and a small ballistic shield for fighting in close quarters within an urban environment. There is also an operator carrying a Carl Gustav recoilless rifle which can be loaded with all sorts of ammunition and can also be turned into essentially an enormous shotgun with flechette rounds. Talking of shotguns, there is also another agent armed with one for more of that close-quarter fighting.
Hidden Snipers
Last but not least, you can also get your hands on some more Task Force Operators with a Thermal Sniper Team.

This team are covered in next-generation thermal camouflage in a move to combat the use of more thermal vision on the battlefield. These suits are extremely effective and allow the snipers to operate without alerting the enemy to their presence.
The soldiers come armed with top-of-the-range weaponry with all the kit like thermal optics, range finders and a suppressor. Slot these folks into your games and see if you can remove the target without having to get up close and personal.
Are you going to be checking out these new miniatures?

The museum I used to be at had WW2 dog gas masks (German). I can only imagine how much fun it would be to put one on a ferocious Shepherd dog. Here, Blöndi – take your mask!
Gimme a tactical chihuahua and I’m in.
