Knight Models have previewed some new villains for the DC Universe Miniatures Game and they've gone with the Green Lantern Corps' foe the Sinestro Corps.

A set of four models have been shown off so far, and it's about time as Sinestro has been on his own for far too long, having to hang out with the Legion of Doom in the DCU. I don't if any more members are due to join the ranks of Sinestro's group there are certainly plenty of options but the group assembled should be powerful enough once you see who is in there.

Sinestro Corp // Knight Models

If you're not familiar with the Sinestro Corps then let's introduce you to who has joined this band of ne'er-do-wells. The set contains Arkillo, Romat-Ru, Bekka and Lyssa Drak. It's an unusual set to group together from the ranks, so let's break each of them down very quickly to give you an idea of who you're going to be using.

Arkillo makes sense, he was an officer under Sinestro and been involved in a lot of the major events. He fought Mongul for control of the Corp after Sinestro was gone and much later was the sole member after the rest had been destroyed. Miniature wise he's a big brute of a sculpt towering over his fellows and it's nice to see he has his tongue so it's either pre or post Mongul fight when he has it ripped from his head. The green rings around his feet are a nice touch.

Romat-Ru a mass child murderer on his home planet that ran into thousands. Like Arkillo he was present at many major conflicts in the comic before meeting his end at Tomar-Tu's hand when he told the Green Lantern he'd go back to baby murdering and got incinerated for his troubles. One of a pair of fliers coasting on a jet of yellow power it's a nice sculpt for the figure.

Bekka is one of the New Gods, powerful in her own right she got her ring by cutting it off Arkillo's finger. She also holds Sinestro's secret making her both powerful in terms of strength and standing within the Corp. The figure is the second flier and wielding one of her black blades this Goddess is sweeping forward to attack.

Lyssa Drak is the final member, for now at least, the keeper of the book of Parallax, which is chained to her wrist. She maintains the horror stories and exploits of the members of the Sinestro Corps. When new recruits are brought to Qward, Lyssa oversees their entry into the fear lodge. Out of them, all Lyssa is probably my favourite model simply because she is actually using her ring to create chains, making it more functional than a nice piece of jewellery.

So there we have it the Sinestro Corps is being assembled, which should mean it won't be too long before the Green Lanterns are assembled to stand against fear, say it with me "In darkest day, in blackest night...

Burn like my power Sinestro's might!

"Out of them, all Lyssa is probably my favourite model simply because she is actually using her ring to create chains, making it more functional than a nice piece of jewellery."
