Floodgate Games are filling the skies with colourful kites in their new card game of the same name. Kites from Kevin Hamano also features artwork from the always talented Beth Sobel who has worked on some great games over the past few years.

Kites - Floodgate Game

Kites // Floodgate Game

In Kites, you will be working together to all of your kites in the air. Players will be taking turns playing cards, flipping over sand timers and coordinating with the other players at the table to make sure none of the said timers run out of sand! If it does, the kit has crashed!

It's neat to have a fun cooperative game for you to play with the family that gets people panicking a little! As well as simply trying to keep the kites in the sky, there are also complication cards which can mess with your plans in the midst of gameplay.

If all of the kite cards from the deck have been played then everybody wins and the kites have flown high! As someone who likes games like Hanabi, The Crew and The Mind, Kites seems like it could be a neat fit for a collection. The family element and the fact it goes up to six players means it should be a lot of fun too, especially with a bit of chaos in the mix.

Are you tempted to pick up Kites later this year?
