Gamers strategically placed themselves at their computers Sunday to try to ensure their place in the cyber line for event tickets for this year's GenCon, myself included. Though the website makes it very easy to prepare, unfortunately it does not guarantee that you will get into everything that you choose- but it's worth a try!

I was on the computer 30 minutes prior to the cyber sell going live, with my Wish List ready to go. The GenCon site allowed gamers to look around and form personal Wish Lists so that when the ticket sales went live, you simply pressed the button to get into "line" and wait to purchase your tickets based on availability.

For reference, I mentioned that I was online waiting before the start, pressed the button to submit my list the second the option lit up, and I was 2788 in line! 53 minutes later, my list was accepted and my tickets were purchased. Doesn't get much easier. Point to mention- we opted to have our tickets mailed to us this year so we can avoid the Will Call line.

Though not able to get into Angel Giraldez's seminars (curses!), we were able to get into the Corvus Belli 10th Anniversary seminar!

Did you brave the cyber line for tickets this weekend?
