Hobday & Hicks have revealed a bit more about what's coming up for their new 28mm Fantasy wargame. Their new range of miniatures sculpted by Hicks are going to be part of The Barons' War: Fantasy Skirmish which should be on Kickstarter soon.

The Barons' War: Fantasy Skirmish // Hobday & Hicks

Fantasy Skirmish will use the rules from the hit Historical game, The Barons' War but with a Fantasy twist of course. The initial range of miniatures that you'll be able to choose from are Orcs and Elves and when you dive into the campaign, you'll be able to pick up either faction or both if you so desire.

Whilst the duo have previewed Dwarves, Humans and the Undead, they will be coming as part of future projects as they can't do everything at once! The Dwarves might have shot up the list so will most likely get paired with either Humans or Undead. I'm hoping for Humans! It would be good to have the makings of a classic Tolkienesque clash on the tabletop, perhaps with a Silmarillion twist.

Even with the Tolkienesque feel to the miniatures, Hobday & Hicks haven't slouched when it comes to designing their own background for these Fantasy miniatures. It is well worth joining their Facebook Group where they preview these miniatures to get an idea of the lore they have been working on.
