Polyversal Relaunches On Kickstarter From Collins Epic Wargames
May 13, 2016 by stvitusdancern
Collins Epic Wargames has regrouped and re strategized their Kickstarter campaign and have relaunched for their 6mm Sci-Fi game Polyversal.
If you remember I wrote about this game in February of this year and I found it to have a very interesting system of game play. They use a set of poly dice and special hex boards to represent your units information and stats.
What I like about this game is that it can be used with any 6mm to 15mm miniatures and they can be from anyone. As a matter of fact they have partnered with several miniatures companies to help provide miniatures in some of the bigger pledges.
If you are a veteran miniatures collector or gamer and have plenty of miniatures laying around then you can just pick up the rules and get to having some huge fun in a tiny scale.
I have discovered very small scale miniatures and game systems that use them and I am fascinated by these tiny models and how detailed I can go. I will be backing Polyversal as the whole game intrigues me so.
Have you played big battles at a tiny scale?

It’s a great trailer. I’ll watch with interest.
the models look great.
there are several games that mean you can use any models , 6-15mm , Horizon Wars , Gruntz , but this looks ok .
Not sure I can invest in a new game , but always new toys.
I think I’m in for the non model level pledge. I have plenty of minis I can use for this.
Talking with the designer here,

“Ablative Armor, check. There are also reactive armor, stealth systems, kinetic dampening fields, and anti-missile autoguns. ”
Check the Link for more from the Designer.
My Viewpoint:
This System may allow us to play the Armies from Fiction, instead of shoe horning the Fiction into a rule set, you build the Fictional units how you think they should be.
Yes you my have to make compromises to be able to field enough troops, as things like Bolo’s are not going to be cheap in points, but you can decide where to do that.
Want Space Marines that match the stories, build them.
Gene Stealers that are fast, hard to hit, hard to kill you can do that.
Eldar that move fast, but are a bit fragile, done.
Want your Orks to face the Aliens from the Movies can do!
You think Space marines work this way your friend builds them a bit different that works as well.
That Book you want to recreate the war from, but no game was made, search the model makers there are many, build it, stat it, and Play IT.
The System should work fine up to including 15mm, from what I have seen and been told.
I hope to use 6 and 15mm to tell a Campaign story, by adding on a Cold War style Campaign, some missions will be with 6mm forces with 100’s of folks fighting, some will be one or two squads doing a side mission, in 15mm.
I have no part in this other than a backer, but I see these rules allowing a large number of the stuff I have collected being used on the table.
Will it be perfect, I doubt it, but it looks solid, been tested for a few years not a few months.
For 10USD you get a PDF with the Design rules, in this day 10 bucks for a full rule set is a steal.
Please take a look, if any of that sparked some interest.
Just 9k from funding.
Hope to see you there!
