Here's The Ruckus // Wargames Illustrated

Here's The Ruckus (also known as Ruckus) is a skirmish game with a narrative focus. It is inspired and influenced by Callan's original rules but with a twist. You take on the role of a Captain and a small retinue of warriors who are getting stuck into both quick one-off games and also campaigns.

The idea is that each game is story-driven and fun with a granular and tactical nature to it. This flows nicely into the campaign nature of the game and the way you can chart the stories of your heroes (and villains). It has also been designed to focus on the fun side of things rather than being specifically period-accurate.

The free version of Ruckus is set during the Wars Of The Roses alongside the likes of Billhooks and Boathooks. This means you can choose your side or play the odds, perhaps taking on the role of a rebel or outlaw. Over on the Wargames Illustrated website, you'll find additional resources like Hero and Cunning Decks, Tokens, Quick Reference Sheets and downloads for Skills as well. More is coming so watch out for that if you picked up the free rules.

Will you be giving Here's The Ruckus a go?
