Meridian Miniatures Sculpt Up An Oldschool Bugbear

Meridian Miniatures and the sculptor behind the company, Andrew May, is on Kickstarter right now funding a single miniature, the Oldschool Bugbear Champion.

This is a very simple Kickstarter with one goal. All that they want to do is get this one Bugbear Champion from the master stage through to production for their lovely backers. The campaign has already gone through its funding goal which means this is a sure-fire option for someone who wants to jump in at this late stage.

This hulking Bugbear stands at 40mm tall and will be cast in pewter. Who knows, if this campaign goes well for Andrew then he might expand things out to include even more dungeon monsters and characters in future Kickstarter campaigns.

At a reasonable price; if you're a collector this seems like a really nice Kickstarter pledge. I could see him being a great leader for a Warlords Of Erehwon force, perhaps standing at the front of a warband of Gnolls?
