Meet Necromunda’s Deadly Hunters & Doomed Scientists
July 9, 2024 by brennon
Games Workshop has been showcasing more of the upcoming miniatures for use in Necromunda. The story is taking an interesting turn as it heads to Hive Secundus soon and that means that some characters are suiting up to go hunting, blowing off some steam as it were.
Lady Haera Helmawr // Necromunda

Lady Haera Helmawr leads the way but instead of being in her ostentatious garb that she might wear when swanning about amongst the nobles, she is clambering into her Sthenian-Pattern Hunting Rig so she can scythe her way through enemies. Lady Haera is now the de facto ruler of Necromunda but that means she now finds herself in the crosshairs of many rivals. To that end, she is stepping up her game and alongside her brother Tamino, she is heading into Hive Secundus to secure their future.
Lady Haera comes with her deadly power spear and phase sword that she often uses alongside some new claws which can rip and tear. As well as her previous weaponry, she also has elements of her existing miniature built into her suit like the cybernetic watch-skulls.
Lady Haera Helmawr // Necromunda
A great update on an already great miniature. It's awesome to see where they are taking the storyline for Necromunda and how the evolution of the story is being told through the change in the miniatures. I think that Lady Haera has had a proper glow-up and is going to be taking names alongside the other Spyre Hunters in the new expansion for Necromunda.
Wyrd Science
As well as Lady Haera, we also got a preview of the miniature that is the reason for the downfall of Hive Secundus. Tech-Priest Biologis Hermiatus' experiments caused the terrible Tyranid Malstrain to spread throughout the Hive and whilst it claimed the lives of many, somehow Hermiatus survived.
Tech-Priest Biologis Hermiatus // Necromunda
I say lives on but Hermiatus, The Second Son is trapped within the gestalt psychic consciousness of the Malstrain and is dominated by the Malstrain Patriarch. The work of Hermiatus continues through the mutated and warped body of The Second Son, acting as much as a Genestealer Cult’s Magus as a scientist.
As well as being a terrifically good (or bad, depending on your outlook) scientist, Hermiatus is also a psyker who can make use of the Malstrain Wyrd Powers. Another awesome miniature from the world of Necromunda as the design team kick ass and take names.
Will you be diving into the unfolding storyline of Necromunda?

The fancy dress lady looks great!
I love the Hermiatus model, even more so I have just seen the new Inquisitor Corteaz model (oh dear).
I love the Hermiatus model too.
