CMON has expanded upon its offerings for A Song Of Ice & Fire with new units for both the Targaryens and the Lannisters. We start with the Targaryens who look to the forces of the Dothraki to support them in their invasion efforts.

Dothraki Outriders - A Song Of Ice & Fire

Dothraki Outriders // A Song Of Ice & Fire

The Outriders are designed to be a good hit and run cavalry unit on the tabletop. They work well once you've rushed them behind your enemy so that you can strike in the flank or rear. If you need a little extra damage then you simply forgo their movement for an additional bonus to hit and an increase to range.

Why not call on the feral power of the Hrakkars as well?

Much like the Outriders, the Hrakkars can benefit from striking their foes in the flanks. With that in mind, they can be set up in ambush locations in order to surprise your foes. There is certainly a glass cannon element to their design though. They might hit hard but they only have six wounds so sustained fights can wear them down.

Protect Your Queen

As well as the forces of the Dothraki, we also have some new Lannister units. Here we have the mean and deadly Red Cloaks.

Depending on which section of the Tactics Board you control, the Red Cloaks are able to gain different benefits. If you hold Wealth then they suffer fewer wounds. If you hold Crown then they can get offensive and deal out some Lannister-style justice.

Keep the Red Cloaks as a dangerous and brutal counter to your enemies once you've taken control of the right zones on the Tactics Board and you're onto a winner. They also look great too!

Are you going to be picking up these new units?
