As with previous books in the series, The Battle For Beta-Garmon will be packed with background lore covering the conflict. That means exploring the defence against Warmaster Horus and his seemingly relentless advance as Sanguinius and Jaghatai Khan join forces. Expanded rules will also be included like the Onslaught Campaign which pits teams of players against each other. These linked games can be played out throughout a weekend as part of a six-game campaign ending in a final climactic battle.

There is also a themed Onslaught Campaign based around the events going on in the Garmon Cluster. A new mechanics, the Mortifaction Index comes into play where the Loyalists have a greater chance of seizing strategic advantage as their casualties mount. Morbid but hopefully this will turn into some fun games!

Last but not least, there will also be faction rules for the Shattered Legions and the Blackshields who return as playable armies. The Shattered Legions are formed of those survivors from the Drop Site Massacre. The Salamanders, Raven Guard, Iron Hands and more have been mixed up to see if they can fight back against their Traitor brothers.

This allows you to explore some interesting narrative ideas on the tabletop with your army building whilst also diving into fun hobby projects. Want to mix and match your armour and paint lots of different Legion schemes? This is the way to go!

The Blackshields are a little more cohesive in that they are formed of Space Marines who have rallied around a particular leader or find themselves running from Legions that they have rejected for whatever reason. They choose Oaths which their warband is based on plus you can properly get stuck into coming up with fun ideas for those charismatic leaders who have swayed fellow Battle Brothers to their cause.

Drop your thoughts down below on the upcoming book!
