Pre-Order Spectre: Out Of Time Historical Wargaming Rules

Spectre Miniatures are now taking pre-orders for their new set of Historical wargaming rules that use the mechanics made famous in their Spectre Operations game. Out of Time features their tailored and tweaked rules, made to work across all manner of different periods of history!

Out of Time // Spectre Miniatures

This new set of rules will cover skirmish-level combat from three distinctly different eras of history. You have Medieval, which covers 1066-1500, Colonial, which covers 1775-1865 and World War II, which (surprise, surprise) covers 1939 through to 1945.

The mechanics will feel familiar to those who have played Spectre Operations but there are also new mechanics folded in that cover the likes of orders and formations.

Commanders // Out of Time

Across the 140 pages of the rulebook, you'll find options for your Commanders and Officers who issue orders to the different Elements that make up your force. The game has been designed for playing games with as few as five models and as many as fifty, depending on the period you're going for and the length of game.

Medieval Characters // Out of Time

This makes it great for diving in and playing small games throughout an afternoon or larger games where you'll need a bit more preparation. The game has also been designed to be miniature agnostic, so you can pick up figures from anywhere and start diving in.

American Civil War // Out of Time

Many people will most likely have miniatures for a variety of periods in their collection, so this makes a great way for you to make use of stuff that might have been languishing for a while. It seems like the game has also been tailored to 28mm scale but you might be able to find some wiggle room. We'll have to see!

Officers & Orders // Out of Time

If you pre-order right now from the folks at Spectre Miniatures, then you'll get the free Marine Raider miniature and a Quick Reference Guide. It is also available as a physical rulebook or a PDF, depending on your preference (or get both with the physical pre-order anyway!).
