Wasteman’s World Explodes in Game Play Video

A short game play video has appeared for the post-apocalyptic skirmish game Wasteman, presented and delivered to us with the game's signature frantic insanity and grindhouse style.
The video takes the form of a small, fast paced battle report, with commentary provided by two of Wasteman's strange citizens. Wounds are signified with cheesy blood splatter effects, while a pounding electro beat plays over it all.
The highlights of each activation are brought to us, letting us see some of the gameplay elements that characterise the Wasteman game. Different types of damage, M.A.D. cards and interacting with terrain are all represented here, shown in a hyperactive manner that is a lot of fun to watch.
While this video does make for an excellent taster for the game, I do think the frantic presentation can obscure the rules a bit. It might be good to see a more standard exploration of the rules alongside this to help people grasp the mechanics.
However, this definitely gives us a good idea of what to expect from this game and world and is an incredibly entertaining way to show it off. Especially when a game can end in a nukin'.

love the effort they have gone to with this. Strangest battle report I ever did see.
I am more of a roadside picnic and metro over fallout style post-apoc so this game probably isn’t for me.
That being said, can’t deny the charm.
this was great battle report! now i want to know more.
Very entertaining, but honestly not very informative about the rules. But maybe I’m just too old to catch everything that was being said. Really like the look of the game, and the creator seems like a nice guy with the kind of project which, IMO, KS is meant for…so I may end up backing anyway.

I love the narrator’s voices and the cheesy effects. It reminds me of them B movies from the 80’s that where a laugh to watch.
Very entertaining…. But I don’t have a clue what was happening!
I don’t think this is for me, but it looks quicky enough that I hope there’s an audience for it.
