About the Project
Please enjoy my Arcworlde Collection! I missed the 1st Kickstarter but have followed it since and participated in the others. I did a lot at the start, went away, came back again and went away from them again. All of the models I post pictures and WIP shots off (when I remembered to do a 'before' photo) will be of models I started on in March and continued to work on beyond. If not, I will specify in the title otherwise. Playing this with my girlfriend has revitalised my interest, so please enjoy.

More Arcworlde Hounds for you to enjoy!
Arcworlde Hounds, Part 1
These beautiful metal Arcwrolde Hounds were relased alongside Battle for Troll Bridge. I decided to have these varying shapes of dogs join my Halfling Warband, and they still are destined to do so. However at the beginning I did their colours blue thinking I would do them blue and white.
After I finished Billie Booseup, below in another entry, I decided I wanted them to look grittier and ground them more in reality, despite being hobbitydudes. I could also use them in other games like KoW, Rangers of Shadow Deep, Frostgrave or even AoS but I did not want them to look crazy bright. More… rustic?
So these dogs have blue colours and do not tie into the Halflings too much, but I did counter that somewhat too.

WIP Albionnicans from Troll Bridge
I’m off to bed soon but started on these guys today. It’s out of chronology because I finished some more Halflings last week. The first pic is where I picked up from… a year or two ago. The second is today’s work.
It was a light, easy, relaxed-pace session today but I plan to do second base coats, layers and washes tomorrow at the very least. Also, I’ll update with the Halflings tomorrow.
Stay tuned!
General Update: Past, Present and Future
Hey guys,
A quick general update. I wanted to post three things: what I have already completed for some time, what I just did, what I am working on now, and what I will be doing toward the end of the project.
It also gives me a good chance to clear some photo space on my phone.
First up we have ‘The Explorer’ who is the second of four sculpts, I believe (Kickstarter Exclusive, General Release, the Troubles in the North expansion and the Second Edition version). He was completed waaaaaay back like two or three Christmases ago approximately. I did not want to put too much if any of the stuff I have already done with my collection as it kind of feels like cheating since it is not part of the ‘Spring Clean Challenge’ it is already long finished.
Next is a bad shot of my finished ‘Captain Bullhoof’s Halflings’ and about a third of my normal Halfling Warband. They were the most recent thing to be finished and this is a bad shot of them before priming and having grass and tufts applied. Stay tund for more on these guys!
Next up is my current WIP: the remainder of my regular Halfling Warband. Not a great shot but it does not need to be as they are WIPs. There are five archers and four spearmen of the Milita. I have custody of my son for a few days so progress on them will be slow. I hope to finish them while he is asleep and I think three or four evenings should do it.
Finally there is this chap. He is no longer available and was only available for a limited time. I think he was heavy toll on the molds and is getting a resculpt for Second Edition. This is the Forest Dragon whom I have yet to name. He was primed grey, and given a few different coats of green and a wash via a spray gun before I mothballed him for like two years. It was an awesome Christmas present and I should hang my head in shame for not doing him sooner.
He is next in line after the nine remaining Halflings and at a guess he will be my sole focus for at least one week, among doing other things.
Halfling Militia/Objective - Billy Booseup
Billie Booseup is quite a sozzled halfling. As per the blurb on the product its a surprise he is on the battlefield. I like to think he is a halfling with a fondness for the sauce and gets bounced around different militias or regiments as nobody wants to ‘deal’ with him, but that is my own ‘head canon’. Hence how clean his uniform is (not being sent to the front lines much) and how it will differ from the rest of the army (he isn’t from here!).
He can be used as an objective marker or as a fill in for a Halfling Militia model. Personally, I like the idea of a well meaning inebriated halfling needing their butt dragged to safety so I would lean toward using him as an objective marker.
I did little on the model initially which was quite a while back, as it was for most of the miniatures I own for this game. He was finished around the same time in mid to late March with Bibington Bells and Professor Chalk while I was on self-isolation and then after that reduced work shifts. He had some skin painted and maybe his tunic which I went over with different colours and did to completion as you see now.
This mini was originally an expansion/add-on to the Battle for Troll Bridhe and was subsequent released to retail. You can get your own metal Billy here:

Wizard - Bibington Bells
This is Bibington Bells, an alternative Halfling Cook (who are wizards for the Halflings in Arcworlde) or an objective marker. He is definetley more a wizard than a cook and looks like a bit of a hobo. He also kind of sounds like one from his background which is found here if you want your own:

I painted him in dark, neutral and drab colours except his shirt which looks like it has been patchworked from two other shirts, and I think it works really well. I wanted him to pop a little and look like a wizard too.
The first four images are in a better light but before I dusted static grass off of him.
The next four pictures, OCD notwithstanding, are him in a slight worse-lit shot but after I brushed the static grass off of him. I have no before image because little was done with him: he was primed with Chaos Black his skin was the only thing painted on him (Bugmans Glow, Cadian Fleshtone, Reikland Flesh shade) before being redone
Wizard - Professor Chalk
Professor Chalk is a Wizard model that started out as an expansion/add-on for the Arcworlde Starter Set Kickstarter. The first editions starter set ‘Battle for Troll Bridge’ was initially launched as a Kickstarter before becoming a retail release. You can get your own metal miniature of Professor Chalk and use him as an alternative sculpt Ablionnican Wizard or objective here:

Below is a picture of where I stopped working on him last year, or maybe the year before.
As you can see he has now been spring from cleaned earlier last week. Enjoy!
The Grim Goblin
This is the Grim Goblin, a Sword for Hire and Dark Lords faction model and special character to boot. I painted him in a simliar colour scheme to the Hobgoblin from Marvel Comics, and he was a joy. He has the option to be put on a giant Helbat optional. You can get your own here:
