Free League Publishing has made the rules for their awesome Nordic Horror Roleplaying Game, Vaesen, available for FREE for Halloween. The rules are available right now over on DriveThruRPG as a free digital download meaning that you can snap them up and start doing some investigations!

Vaesen sees you take on the role of investigators who have been tasked with rooting out creatures from myth, legend and folklore and working out why they are causing problems for humanity. This could mean dealing with these ghosts, ghouls and more head on or trying to root out the cause and what foolish error humanity has made that has riled up the Vaesen!

As a bonus, this week also saw the release of the Solo Rules allowing you to tackle Vaesen by yourself.

The Solo Thursday's Child // Vaesen

This will allow you to create and solve mysteries by yourself which could be very handy if you're looking to try out the game but don't have a group to play with. It's been neat seeing the various solo modes coming out for roleplaying games over the last while and I am very tempted to try this out to see what tweaks they have made to the mechanics.
