Gale Force 9 have presented the latest addition to their Battlefield in a Box range... swamps!
Darrell will be putting on his happy pants for this one, he's already filmed a couple of What's in the Box shows about this pre-painted terrain and it's got him all flustered about using it for his home table.
If you make your own terrain this is probably not worth it, but for pre-painted, pre-assembled terrain, I think it's quite reasonable.

I think it’s worth it… I mean, it looks good, and it saves precious time for painting the minis. I know there are guys who really love making terrain, and that’s all right, but when you’re not an expert and you want a beautiful table, GF9 has the stuff…
Or when you just flat out can not be arsed. I’ve got a full on planetstrike board on the go, 5 bastions, fotress etc, but I need some pools for warmachine. I’m too lazy to do both so I think this might be the answer
That and resin work is pretty tricky – few other water effects work well.
I’m a big fan of where GF9 are going here.
Trees! I make most stuff but I find the GF9 B-in-a-B stuff handy, especially the trees and the good solid bases on thier stuff. And ot looks great on the table, very high standard stuff.
Looks more like a pond than a swamp.
Pedantry aside, if the water effect looks as good in the flesh as it does on the photo it will be really nice on the table.
Would add some marginal plants in places. Not sure but that would certainly make it impassible terrain as fools bull rushes in where angels fear to tread!
Hmm.. always glad to see more terrain, however these seem a little .. off?
As mentioned above more ponds than swamp and what is that in the middle? Small Islands with small standing stone circles on them?
