Known as the B.A.S.E System the folks at DFA Miniatures are looking to launch their Kickstarter for this range of 6mm terrain this week beginning tomorrow.

DFA Miniatures

The collection from DFA is entirely modular and means that you can configure the tabletop in all manner of different ways each time you get down to the tabletop to play. It's one of those exciting 'gamer lego' kits that are so fun to tinker around with.

BASE (Battlefield Architecture and Scenery Expansion) System #3

You can see some of the renders of what they have proposed in the picture above and below. It looks like there are plenty of nice incidental pieces thrown in with the common sets of walls and bunkers that you'd expect.

BASE (Battlefield Architecture and Scenery Expansion) System #4

The kits can be picked up at varying levels, giving you more options for expanding out your collection to cover a wider footprint on the tabletop. Whilst this is still small for Dropzone Commander I could see this being a good addition to the mix potentially.

Here are some of their prototypes which have been brought to life and painted up. I say they look pretty swish!

BASE (Battlefield Architecture and Scenery Expansion) System #1

There are plans to make sure that they have ninety different individual elements for you to pick up when the collection goes to retail, but of course, as part of the Kickstarter, you'll get a head start.

BASE (Battlefield Architecture and Scenery Expansion) System #2

They also have plans to expand beyond the production of terrain to also design miniatures for those people that enjoy their 6mm games as well.

Make sure to keep an eye out for this campaign when it launches tomorrow and follow along to see what they can add to the mix with stretch goals.
