Games Workshop’s Warhammer Fest 2021 Goes Online 3rd-8th May

Games Workshop announced this week that Warhammer Fest 2021 is going to be an online affair. It is also going to run for not one or two days but a whole week. You'll be able to learn about everything new in The Mortal Realms and Grimdark Future from the 3rd-8th of May.

The start of the week is going to be focused on Warhammer Age Of Sigmar but as the week goes on we're going to get two looks at Warhammer 40,000, a smidgen of Black Library goodness and plenty of coverage on their boxed games. Hey, maybe they'll end up telling us what happened with Warhammer Quest: Cursed City? Wishful thinking?
We also get a bit of a mystery on Saturday but I imagine this isn't going to be anything too massive. We always talk about the fact that we could be seeing a new Battlefleet Gothic or Epic and yet are constantly disappointed. I imagine it might be a new boxed game to supplement one of the two main ranges.
It will be interesting to see what they have in store for us and we'll keep you updated as the days roll on!

I would like to see proper 40k epic and some good looking 40k orcs… buuuuut giving the current track record of G’Wullu totally missing my goals… I’m going to say there won’t be a single thing where I’d say “I’d really want that”. Biggest hope is a “doesn’t look to bad and is reasonably priced”. But: I’d be happy if they surprise me. Which they won’t.
I think at best we’re going to get a couple of new savage orks for 40k.
And that’s it …
GW don’t update factions from top to bottom unless they’re spacemarines.
The mystery is probably some kind of new update for AoS (Cursed City as a new faction for AoS so both people who got it can use it ?)
Well they did completely overhaul the Dark Eldar range, but yes that is probably not going to happen to often.
Though new Orc boys, Khorne Berzerkers and Eldar Guardians wouldn’t hurt.

You’d think they’d announce it unless it got drowned by the release of the space nuns.
I am looking to Thursday when GW will announce the 1st expansion for Warhammer Cursed City….

If they don`t bring up the issues and silence of cursed city then if it was a event for the public..they be burned at the stake.
Yeah I still think its part wanting to build more hype / need for when they do re-release it, coupled with manufacturing issues.
If legitimately sold out in 75 mins, it would be bonkers from a business point of view not to make & sell more copies.
Unless of course there is some unseen legal issues with it in the background that have halted any further plans.
Time will tell.
Ooh nice will be great to see the game’s in action to get the juices flowing for games I’ve just wondered about playing an the different between Epic & new version? (Apocalypse).
I wonder if they have thought about bringing Dark Future back, I don’t suppose so as it is nothing to do with their other worlds. If not that then expand Titanicus to include vehicles & infantry

Fun fact about Mad Max II The Road Warrior – I had no idea that Wez and the Golden Youth were gay until decades after I first watched it!
Second fun fact semi related – I met Vernon Wells (Wez) at a comic con a few years ago, and he gave me a lovely little shoulder squeeze – not sure this fact is related to the first one…
My guess is the mystery announcement will have to do with the Old World work they are doing. With Total War Warhammer 3 on preorder and slated to come out this year they’d be silly not to piggy back on that hype. Especially with it pulling on Kislev in both instances. It has been awhile since they have posted anything about that setting.
I wonder if they will run out of “internet”? You better load up the page NOW before it’s “limited” availability means you’ll miss out 😀
