I feel old. For me, Dark Age is still kind of a new game. It feels like it just came out. I didn’t realize it has been around as long as it has.
Happy Weekend!
The Dark Age stuff does look amazing and Xenoshyft is a great game!
Yeah Justin you didn’t say what you thought you did 🙂
Great show and impressive new casts from CMON.
Dark Age looks awesome
The re sculpted Dark Age stuff is really pretty. I would love to give this game a try.
And oh boy am i hyped for Deathwatch!
So close with the Army Painter bag Justin: instead it should have molle straps to attach it to things like Battle Foam bags. Holy cross promotion Batman!
Exciting stuf!
Having just started playing Dark Age, this is a well-timed competition 🙂
Have been insterested in darkages for a while. For Inifinity Tooha all the way. as for the army bag just get couple of the velco strip and material and a few minutes with a sewing machine you can make up bags for each of the dice type or game system
Hurrah – it’s the Weekend!!
Dark Age has so far slippedpast me – but maybee the new sculpts might change thgat, looking forward to seeing how it plays.
As for the AP gaming kit, I notice thge dice come in their own bag. Some modular d10, d20, or ‘rpg one of everything’ bagged csets you can switch in to the pack would be a sensible way to go…
Surely I’m not the only one to have adapted a pencil’case to fulfil a similar purpose?
@coxjul no mate your not…. lol 🙂 good old pencil case for me too …. Oh! and just had a look at warlord games they want £24.99! for that set…. I can’t believe that anyone would really spend that… for a cheap case… Please Guy’s! think before you waste your cash….you can’t even fit a rule book or template’s in it… I could do better with a 5p carrier bag from the local supermarket and fit all I need in it…
really looking forward to this infinity campaign
I need to head to the timber merchants and build a table to play on, but I’ll be waiting with baited breath for more details on the campaign.
I use the Dark Age minis (specially outlaws and prevailers) in Shadows of Brimstone campaigns (made by myself). They look really good!
So the awards are coming…that explains Ben’s haircut.
As to the new sculpts for Dark Age, they do look much more real, but if they’re cast in metal, I can foreseen a lot of straightening with the blades being thinner and less anime, or, if in resin, just breakage.
Please tell Dawn to bring some Jezebels to Adepticon and let us know how much extra cash to bring along.
To be fair, there’s a lot of blade-straightening with Infinity minis too – like Senor ‘Deadpool’ Massacre’s katanas, for instance – but it’s quick and easy to do, and isn’t really an issue. So I don’t think it’s going to be a problem with the CMON Dark Age stuff.
I’ll see what I can do! 😀
I hate to point it out but if you constantly forget things like tape, dice, ex wouldn’t you just forget the Army Painter Bag?
Dark age looks cool BTW.
That was my first thought as well. I am as likely to forget the Army Painter kit as my own original stuff so no point in getting one really.
I assumed it was something to be sold at events…
mornings all ! I do like alot of the Dark Age Models,
Really excited about the Infinity campaign! Can’t wait to start 🙂
On to war. Nomads shall take all.
It’s a dangerous job selling stuff on the telly
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_N4hprpRJhM
Do NOT abuse a Katana… They’re sharp for a reason!
Like the idea of a d20 set.
Biggest question which fraction to go for in the Infinity Campaign. ….
…me too!
good Morning
well looks like i am going to miss the fun next weekend as of to Beta test Dropfleet Commander oh well:-)
I remember when Dark Age was released and thought the figures looked good then. It is starting to gain a foot hold here in Australia with Dark Age being run at events.
Looking forward to seeing the new sculpts!
Happy Gaming,
Allan
Dark Age is one of those miniature ranges that I have often cherry picked from, but have had no interest in playing.. at least, not until recently. The re-sculpts we have been seeing over the last year must surely have been a real shot in the arm for the game.
Its a pitty that in Spain we don’t play dark age , love its backgroung but nobody plays here. Too many cool games, short of time to play to paint and limit money. Just bought the new Game of gw , deathwatch overkill and execution force. Might use both to play space hulk, just need some rules to fit assasin in space hulk games.
How do I know if I won anything? Do I have to watch all the vídeos or they contact me ? And how Can I finish my subscription to BoW?
Dark Age mega bundle exciting stuff yes please 😀
Great content keep it up.
Martin
for the army painter bag, have an option to add additional dice pouches.
Great, more money needed to spend on the superb dark age mini’s, looking forward to see what you have put together for this set of rules.
The dark age minis are so good, enough to make you abandon all rational thought about what you need, but just want them.
For the Army painter kit, I would want something to write with. Maybe a pouch for some counters and tokens. Note pad for something to write on (just a small one for notes).
The Dark Age sculpts have come a long way. They are looking really good. I like the new one better than the old ones.
Deathwatch:Overkill reminds me a bit of spacehulk, but it still seems to be its own game. Looks good, time to start donating blood. j/k
The Army painter kit is great, I think the dice option would improve it but, a full custom load out option could turn out to be expensive for AP due to potential changes in the case design.
I like the feel of dark age and beautiful minis.
The kit from army painter looks good to.
My favorite faction is still the Brood, but I like most of the miniatures, especially the new ones.
It’s official Justin’s qvc voice is so boring it has put my 3 month old grandson to sleep….was trying to corrupt him early epic fail thanks.
Think the army painter set a very good idea but will need options in the future like you discussed.
Fear not, Carlos.
I have an elite unit of the Dragon’s most loyal subjects, ready to do their duty.
Glory to Yu Jing!
Being some enlightening into dark age…
i like john’s idea about swapping load out at the online store for wargamer set by army painter
I’m looking forward to firestorm!!!
Infinity campaign is sounding great, really looking forward to seeing how it all pans out.
Another great video, thanks guys.
used to play dark age… can’t wait for the new models !
Happy hobby weekend!
So much good stuff coming our way. I have to have Deathwatch: Overkill, I really like the genestealer cult. Dark Age is impressive to, it was very interesting to see the changes from the old sculpts to the new. I do however like most of the old sculpts too. To me they represents two different eras of sculpting.
Couldn’t you guys at BoW do a series on the history/eras of miniature scultping? Get a bunch of sculpters on the show and talk about the development of miniature sculpting from the 70s/80s onwards. Maybe one episode per decade.
Beasts, you guys have so much work ahead of you guys with the campaign on the horizon. Thanks so so so much I am gonna love it.
The Infinity campaign looks really well done – can’t wait to see it in action.
Thanks for all the great fluff!
good morning. the new dark age minis look more realistic, hope to see more new models from cool mini or not. gw looks like bringing out another good board game, as long as it plays as well as the last one.
Wow, jam packed show this week! Army painter: what about a pocket at the back that’ll fit your 10″ tablet or a5 size rule book? (Just happens to be about 10″ 🙂 )
Dave Taylor!?! I haven’t seen him since I used to frequent the original Sydney GW store! It was barely big enough for 4 4×4 gaming tables and underneath an escalator!
Dark Age has always looked awesome, I always thought the older mini’s would mix in well with older metal GW stuff for Necromunda-style gangers/ warriors. The new stuff is exceptional.
Those resculpts are lovely – I know nothing about the game (and it’s 10 years old!)
The Wargaming set is a bit of a gimmick.
I am looking forward to trying to get in on some Infinity campaining, hopefully I can get some players together for it.
Justins man bag is a good idea
Infinity campaign ? The Military Orders are in. We shall teach those heretics.
And those resculpts for Dark Age are gorgeous.
Dawn’s model looks amazing, can’t wait to see it painted!
I have seen the new Dark Age models and they amazing!!!
On another note to dark age which really wonderful minis in their own right.
1/35 scale vehicles are allowed in the painting competition. I did not put a scale up to as, as you have done just taken it to its logical conclusion. The scratch build or conversion has no scale so I have to say this, the first 1 to 1 jackal titan will have as good a chance as anything else.
The painting competition details I will go away copy and put up here as well.
Cracking show peeps.
gives me a reason to finish my 35th scale Panther then 🙂
I really like the Dark Age minis. And Infinity really intrigues me. I’ve been eyeing up the Two player starter but the models don’t really do it for me in it. And I’ve found the website a little tricky to navigate to get a view on how each faction looks. That’s what has held me off playing it mostly.
Love being a Beasts of War member really contribute to the life blood of Beasts of War. oops I mean backstage member 😉
Pretty short weekender this week, means I now have to get out of bed 🙁
Was their a Vlog this week?
If there is ever a week you think we are a little quiet, rest easy as that’s a week we a utterly flat out creating cool stuff 😉
It’s when you hear too much from us you should be worried about us slacking lol 😀
Here is the name of the thread and the categories, please take the time to read through some of if not the discussion on the thread as many questions have been asked and answered on there. Including how we intend to make this a monthly competition and how that will work including the previous winners input..
Ok lets try again I am going to put up a new title, you have one month to put in your entries, with when it was painted what line it came from etc. There are but 4 categories (no more) or it will become a Hydra of a beast.
1, A single miniature any scale, (up to and including 1/35th)
2, A group category, more than one miniature (Yes that means more than one, up to and including 1/35th scale)
3, A vehicle means exactly what it does on the tin, (that includes one vehicle and loads of minis I do not care if there are 1000 miniatures and a motor bike its a vehicle, so choose wisely).
4, I have decided to put this in, because it totally appeals to my own hobby, the scratch build or major conversion no matter the subject matter.
The Name of the new competition is “The new painting competition that is the same as the old one with a new bit added on!” There is no discussion on the categories, so do not waste your time trying there is enough there to get it sorted over to you.
So if you want to have a go at the most laid back painting competition ever to get you into a place were you will have the confidence to believe in your own work, then this is it.
Thank you peeps and peepess’s
Good hunting, Chris G
That Infinity campaign looks interesting, maybe it will get me back into the game!
I remember running some demo games for dark age back at salute when it was first released.
Was good to see it going strong when I got back, sadly my OCD had kicked in then so I can’t deal with them being out of scale with the rest of my collection 🙁
Wow. The difference in the first and second generation of Dark Age models is amazing. Not every resculpt project is a howling success but hats off for this one. Well done lads.
First of all, the gaming travel set, brilliant! I agree with John that it should be mix and match on line.
The new Dark Ages minis look pretty super.
Hello Weekenders,
well the Dark Age prize looks promising, but the Infinity campaign looks even more promising. 🙂 I do like the Army Painter “man pouch” 😉 btw. Justin should advertize Old Spice 😉
Oh and hello Lance 😉
Although I’m pretty sure someone must have mentioned it by now:
@54:45 – I’m pretty sure the creator of the AvP game is ProdOs Games.
great pressy for my grandson!
Roll on award weekend
Can you please adjust the audio level on the Hub Ads? Hate feeling like i’m getting yelled at during them.
The awards are going out live? I wonder if I can adjust my body clock a few hours from AU timezones in a week.
“Excuse my accent, eehm,” – Carlos. And yep, there goes my wife’s knees, wobbling again. Teach me Carlos, teach me!
The new Dark Age mini’s are jaw droppingly good. I don’t mind the old ones to be honest, but the new lot are must buys now!
Wow, the new Forsaken minis look really beautiful. Have to count my money to get some of these.
For the Army Painter Bag… as John said different options for glue, dice and so on. That would be fine.
I love Warren he’s my hero of gaming!
I hope Deathmatch Overkill will be compatible with space hulk in near future, maybe some missions in white dwarf
I love Warren he’s my hero of gaming! I am not a big fan of dark age but I want to win something for Christ sake!
You sent my prize from last week yet? 🙂
I object to Combined Army being called the baddies! We are just trying to re educate everyone…with excessive force…and mind control 😉
Oh and yes the new Dark Age minis kick old Dark Age minis butt
Can’t wait to get going with the campaign 🙂 it’s exactly the kind of stuff I want to see in a skirmish game
If you want different dice, can’t you just swop them out with ones you already own?
I’d improve the army painter kit by adding velcro and snap buttons on the outside, and on hinged plastic boxes or zip pockets that pop on for pin/wound markers order tokens card decks little notepads etc, maybe a foam lined 25x25x50 box to carry your RPG character mini.
Great idea a paint off between the 3 of you, that would be nice to see also maybe get angle involved too . Lol,
Really a step for Dark age minis.. so many minis… so little time 🙁
I am very impressed with the dark ages minis the are awesome
I’m a fan of the new more realistic proportions. I tend to only like cartoony for fantasy 🙂
Operation Flamestrike finally starts!
Great news for Infinity; even thought I’ll probably not going to participate, I’m eager to see how it helps to further develop the fluff.
Also, regarding that wargaming bag… looks really nice, I’ll probably get it in the future.
Soooooo glad to see John back! Welcome back sir!
This is one of those games that I’ve always wondered about but never really looked into. I love the new sculpts. This might be the time to jump in. I look forward to seeing all the new stuff that will be coming out. I also think its pretty interesting that its tied to Xenoshyft.
I use a lot of Amry Painter stuff. Their lasers are a big help, and I like their tools. However their tape measure is rubbish. Firstly its twice the size of my other ones so it doesn’t fit in my dice, token and templace case. Secondly, the buttons broke after only about 20 games. AP were kind enough to replace it with the newer model for free. However I used that at smogcon last weekend and by day 2 I could tell its only a matter of time before the tape gets stuck inside and wont come back out. Plus the plastic they are made of feels so cheap. I like the company, but I cannot recomend the tape measure.
Those new Dark Age sculpts look sweet. Might have to get a copy of the Deathwatch game. Have the old Genestealer Cult armylist knocking around somewhere from RT days. Must dig it out.
Awesome death watch board game.
Great show guys. Great mix of games
I love the new dark age sculpts.. but I have no idea how it plays and do I really want to play another miniatures game? (the answer is probably yes…)
Been following Dark Age since the beginning
Mega weekend next week. Dropfleet Commander Beta day on Saturday and Awards on Sunday night
Just started Dark Age with the Kuklukani. Really nice sculpts and great to paint. Nice to see Dark Age getting some coverage, would be nice to see some battle reports.
So here I am thinking I must not purchase any new games or minis until I have my present lot painted and on the table. Then CMON show off new Dark Age minis and GW plan to release Deathwatch: Overkill! Must resist the temptation!, must resist….must resist… must… not sure how long I can hold out. Help! These Weekenders are bad for my shiny syndrome!
Dark age is an ace game, i just don’t get to play it enough
The Dark Age sculpts do look amazing, especially love the background and world.
Infinity campaign is going to push me to finish painting my Combined Army.
dark age screaming like a little girl realy nice
The campaign system looks cool, great job BoW!
really looking forwards to the campaign, finally gave me the push to do something post the bootcamp last year. So I’ve been putting together two more mini sets for my two mates to get them into infinity as well. Should be a bundle of fun all over.
Wow that is sad to say but it was first the worst weekender, I watched and I watchet them all. looked like tv market show. nice to see guys from cool mini, im not in to 40k anymore byt gensteales was my fav faction and its nice to see it back anyway, possibly useful in space hulk. but this episode would be grat if it would take 20-30 min guys. it is not a rant thou I am writing it as my opinion and as request to tryu to avoid i dont know – product placement? that bag for tournaments in show? write article. dont need to hear 10 min about it guys, all the best anyway and Justin you are very pro now, you changed a lot mate.
Campain bit is amazing I will definetely try to play as much games as possible over that time.
Nice show. Around 50 minutes is great, but I missed the kickstarter news. Always like your research in the kickstarters.
I think Coolminiornot are doing a great job on Dark Age. Their old miniatures are great, like the comic feel. But the new ones are deffinitily better. More realistic and still has those great paintjobs. The new miniatures are equel in quality of those of Infinity. I think the last ones are the best in the world. So I big compliment to Coolminiornot. I can’t understand how great the miniatures are painted. I am really an outcast lover. Some scrap around and make it your armour and weapons. It is great a company isn’t shy to re-release their models. Just upgrading with new technology in the hobby. Other compagnies should follow this example.
A worldwide campaign for Infinity is also great, maybe I will take my Ariadna and fight for the island. I have to defend my Caledonian rights.
The bag of Army Painter is very clever. I use a KR Multicase with compartments for all the supplies. I have everything double. So I have my dice, etc. for at home and for tournaments.
Glad to see the folks from CMoN in the weekender. Looking forward to some batreps.
I would add some green stuff to the army builder kit for quick, heavy duty repairs. Also, tokens or counters would be a nice emergency addition too.
I love the look of the new Dark Age minis. I still need to convince my friends they want to play.
Wow the new sculp for Dark age are just awsome and it’s my 2 favorite faction :O in the last month i was looking at this game to get in to but now it’s a must buy the new Coils are amayzing and probably be a part of my army the game is brutal and the rules are simple to get in to so it’s all good for me can not wait to get my hands on them 🙂
great episode guys. Dark age is looking really good with the re-sculpts. Need to get my but into gear and get my Infinity models painted for the campaign
Really like the new Dark Age sculpts compared to the old style.
Looking forward to seeing the awards.
Great to see a company willing to go back and rework older models to bring them in line.
Short but sweet one today, perhaps Team BoW could have a competition painting the Jezebel minis ?
Dark Age is lovely!
Really like the Justin, John and giant head Ben dynamic. Interesting to hear more than one person talking all the time…..lets have more!
I like the look of the Dark Age stuff but have not managed/been able to watch any Gameplay or Read any fluff (mainly because Distractions.. but hey, Look at that over there!)
The Army Painter sets look really useful! I keep my Paints upstairs and lug a huge box downstairs when I actually get around to painting stuff.
Soooo Huge…
Those dark age minis are just incredible and shows where design and casting has made such a huge leaps. It makes some other manufacturers kit look positively amateurish in finish. It is this sort of re-investment that counts so much towards a games survival in these days of close financial competition.
Bring on Dark Age new sculpts look great.
Resistance appears futile … I think I am about to give into the infinity system if you guys show anymore stunning minis. Xenoshyft is an absolutely amazing game to play on iOS and I wonder if it is just as amazing on the tabletop.
Looks like some Dark Age is going to be ending up on my painting table…
Really expecting the Brood to be up next for the resculpts, to me they look like some of the models are from a different game. I wonder who else though, maybe the Air caste?
i’m pretty much interested in the global campaign
The new Dark Age resculpts look amazing!
I can’t wait to get started on this Infinity campaign 😀
@ johnlyons — If it’s too big to be a miniature, maybe macroture fits.
That case needs to be hybridize with the infinity one fro the other week. token and template slots and ting.
I’ve never really been very familiar with Dark Age, sort of a game that’s over there, but never front of view for me, but those re-sculpts look pretty rad, especially Saint John on his robot horse
I can’t believe I haven’t taken the plunge into Dark Age. Loving this line
Those new Dark Age miniatures look great!
Love the army painter kit. A wargammer kit with d6, a RPG kit with multiple dice, and an empty kit would be great options. I already have a kit I made, but for new gamers they could get everything at once.
Couple things.. as a Dark Age player from the beginning.. I have fond memories of the olders sculpts.. my issue with some of the Dark Age stuff has been the inconsistent scale and sculpting… I applaud the attempts to bring a cohesive look to the game.. but IMHO the metal models don’t hold up well when they are “so” true scale … weapons (swords especially).. and the single foot on the ground as the model is running forward or diving backwards are just not good for the lifespan of the painted model… so as much as I love the look, I’m not a fan of the fragile nature of the models and I wonder about that effect on the long term sales…
As for the Infinity Campaign, that is something I am really looking forward to and will be getting my group to contribute too here in Southwest Florida!!!!
And as for GW… these boardgames are just something I don’t understand… I feel like you are either “new” to the game and would want to pick up a basic starter set (in board game format is fine).. or you are an experienced Space Marine or Deathwatch or Tyranid or Genestealer Cult commander/fan/hobbyist who is going to want these models for their 40K army more than the board game.. and I just don’t get why GW packages these things up this way and it is keeping me from picking any of them up…
Brom is a spectacular artist, I have been a fan of his Dark Age work since the card game that was produced in the 90’s. The re-sculpted models are quite nice.
Dark Age is my favorite game! Simply love it since they are in true scale!
Great show guys …..
the army painter bag idea would be ok if it was big enough for templates too.
Dark age miam !!!
If you haven’t tried Dark Age yet, do so. The cost of entry is very low– about $30 for a starter, plus maybe $20 for enough additional models to get you to 500 points, a typical game size. The game play is fast and easy to pick up. The new sculpts just make the game look prettier, but it’s played great for years!
One of these years I’ll win one of these excellent prizes. Nice painter bag.
Haha! Beast of War is the life blood of Beasts of War, lol!
I have two nit-picking comments here about the audio. 😛 The audio was too low during the conversations and too freaking loud in the hub adverts and BoW Awards! The other gripe is that I can’t stand that hub woman’s yelling voice; get another woman please (maybe ask Dawn or Gianna)! I’m always having to skip the video past her irritating spiel, or mute her altogether.
Other than that, good show; not interested in the Infinity campaign but it looks good; and don’t put me into the Dark Age competition draw as I can’t be doing with another load of minis to paint, give them to a Dark age player. Cheers! 😀
Regarding the Army Painter set: It is called the Wargaming Set, so I could see a ‘RPG Set’ with different components (full dice set, small padded container for a character mini, notepad and pencil/pen, etc.). I noticed the dice are in their own removable bag, so it would be easy for them to offer those bags with different dice, separately or as an option when buying the main set.
As far as improvements, maybe another velcro attachment and options like a pack of basic tokens. I also like Justin’s strap idea, not only for belt loops, but to attach to carry-on bags, backpacks, Battle Foam bags, LBE gear, or the rolling tray case I use to transport my minis.
CMON is a great company, looking forward to delving into Dark Age as well, and hopefully they can breathe some life back into it!
That kit looks good, but I already do this using my Bolt Action dice bag.
The Dark Age new minis are really nice, they might tempt me to play….
Intriguing with a global infinity campaign will check it out! Dark Age minis are some of the best imo, would like to get into the game when I can.
Army painter set is handy. Justins fanny pack is better 🙂
Don’t worry @warzan. They can do it. They did so before when you were on holiday. There won’t be any mistakes. And if there are any @johnlyons will point them out and look smug. 🙂
I’m going to try and drag my local opponents into the Infinity campaign. Curious to see how the campaign will evolve.
I don’t care much for the Deathwatch, but those Genestealer cultists are a must-have. Will only happen if I can get the box on a bargain though.
The Dark Age resculpts look very good. Only for the first model shown I feel the old sculpt is at least equally pleasing to me. But the new priests are definitely a big upgrade. So are the other resculpts. Wouldn’t mind having that set.
whoa! I love new Dark Age sculpts. Looking forward to see more, I’m wondering are they planning to release some new Dragyri models.
Great write-up guys. As a legionnaire for both Dark-age and wrath of kings in the UK I’ve been trying to promote the game for a while and reviews like this is a great help! Keep up the good work!
I am excited by both the Infinity Campaign (which I have gotten the Bay Area into) and the Dark Age. How do we log onto the Operation Flamestrike Campaign?
I had a look at Dark Age when I was trying to decide what to collect for my reentry to the hobby. Didn’t seem popular enough at the club I’m going to to get involved bit the minis are nice. Now infinity, that’s a constant battle of willpower not to create a lead mountain. One day though.
The dark age sculpts look amazing….. Great show guys.
i kinda like those new dark age minis.
I’m glad I ran the video to the very end. The last 10 seconds made me laugh out loud. Props to the editor. 🙂
Oh man, I’m so pumped for the Infinity campaign. Great idea guys!
Dark Age mega bundle: nice! Those resculpt are vey cool.
Even if i don’t play Infinity at the miniature level (i will DM the RPG when i get my KS pledge), i will keep an eye out on the campaign to get more on the fluff side and to see how to shape a campaign for other miniature games with my gaming group.
I’m with John on his take on what i would do on AP site for that “emergency kit”,
See you tomorow!
I would love a D8 version of the army painter kit
The DA resculpts look great. I have the original starter and a Mongo and loved how they painted up. Looking forward to getting these as well.
I hope you have a week of content with Cool Mini and that it includes Wrath of Kings!
For the Army Painter, one item to improve a “Wargame” pouch is a movement template (1, 2, 4, 6) and possibly blast templates (up to 3″?). Could the dice bag be modified to also be a shaker cup?
The Dark Age Minis look amazing
I love it when these global campaigns inform the fluff. Makes the games you play feel so much more epic.
Was not a fan of the early darkage minis, but these are looking real nice.
The new sculpts shown in todays show definately look tempting enough to give it some serious thought. Justin just you keep on pitching stuff, good job.
Great prize this week …. drools
Man, those resculpt are amazing.
I’d like to see Army Painter make themed pouches like that for different games and factions, like GF9 makes, but with all the bits in a pouch – themed dice, tokens, etc.
I dislike that the Army Painter kit comes with dice already. Who by now doesn’t have 1000 dice already? Dice bag, sure. I would hope that would be an option to remove if they do give this more customization.
God damn it! Genestealer Cult is the ONE thing that can and will drag me back into the 40k fold…
In all seriousness though those GC sculpts are stellar work. Well played GW, well played.
Looking forward to hearing more about Dark Age, it’s been on the periphery of my gaming radar for a LONG time!
Like he review. Seems like Dark Age is going to have some very nice sculpts. Thanks BoW.
Love the new look of the Dark age.
Bring on the campaign 😛
I don’t have laser pointers so the army painter gaming bag would be worth considering.
My concern would be that without John’s customisation suggestion I think that this product will not become a massive seller.
I have dice, superglue and a tape rule. If the price is desperately more than the cost of the laser pointers, I won’t be buying this product.
Once people see the bag idea I think sadly people will be making their own.
A trip to the pound shop to try and find a suitable wash bag anyone…?
Even though I tune in to see every weekender I tend to pay more attention on the games I have been buying and following (Infinity, Bolt Action, Saga). Dark age may have been around for a decade, but I have heard very little about it until now. (The sculpts look epic)
Looking forward to the Dark Age articles and lets play.
Infinity – Can’t wait to get fighting in this campaign. I have Ariadna, Pano and Nomad troops to play with, so plenty of regions to fight in. Have to read the Infinity board layout guides again to try and get the battles balanced and fun. Bit of painting and terrain making to complete, but I should be ready in time.
Looking forward to the 2015 awards results next weekend.
i would say they are making the bags as plan as can be to not have to fill lots of special orders because that would jack the price up. but that does not stop us from puttting in stuff we want later ofcourse
I remember first seeing dark age minuatures about 10 years ago, it’s amazing how time flies!! Their new models are really just works of art. Wish there was a community for it here, but I don’t think there is a single person I know that plays it.
Either way, I love the look of the models and want to collect them.
Happy Weekend guys, I couldnt be more excited to finally see the awards next week.
Dark Age definately looks great, thre scupts are so much better now (not that they were awful mind you/) But personally I preferr the new ones 100%
The Wargaming set is an amazing idea, personallly Id love to see someting released like this for hobby tools, or a more appropriate way to carry around paints etc
Those Dark Age minis are really great. As for the Army Painter bag, more options are always a good thing!
I wonder if Specialist Games will be following the boxed game retail model we are seeing with Deathwattch. I can see the attraction of a 30/40K game that then has the potential to be expanded into a larger universe but is still a standalone product.
Loving everything so far, can’t wait for more.
Oh, I would not have expected Dark Age to be in the same world as Xenoshift.
The technology in Xenoshift was pretty advanced.
You learn something new everyday huh?
The Jezebel figure really is a great piece.
The army painter thing is pretty sweet. I can’t wait to see the rest of the Dark Age videos you guys are going to put out.
I’ve never looked into playing Dark Age but the models are pretty.
the army painter bag is gread, but its too late if got it all 😉
Seems like I should start playing some infanity. Ive only had a couple of games, but this could spark the interest, in my game group.
Deathwatch….. im in love, and its cost me a leg and my money…
Ive never seen much of Dark Age, but the new models you shown, are really beautiful. I think I need too look into Dark Age some more.
The bags from army painter looks very useful. I always forgets my superglue….
The new dark age casts look really great. Sadly none of my local game stores for the past several years have carried dark age stuff so I never got much of a chance to get into it. Hopefully that will change.
Quite the change in style from the earlier Dark Age models. As long as they’re not nightmarish to construct I’m all for it. A very nice aesthetic improvement.
Holy Dark Age Batman
Easy option for Army painter Bag – Put the dice u need into the pouch 😉 as ull prolly already have them 🙂
those new dark age minis do look a lot better.
Jezebel is just awesome
Oooh i’d love to get my hands on some new dark age stuff…!
army painter bag defanetly have different dice load outs
Dark Age is a very intersting game. And the prize is fabulous!
I love the new sculpts for Dark Age.
Your campaign has drawn me into infinity, like i need another game. me and a friend have set ourselves a challenge to get our first models ready by next week. yu-ching for the win.
The only improvement I’d look at for the Army Painter pouch is extra dice options.
I really like the look of the new Dark Age sculpts.
I really like Dark Age but just have trouble finding people to play against
The gaming kit could include a place to hold a deck of cards, most of the recent games use them.
I’ve followed Dark Age quietly for some time and these new sculpts are really great, looking forward to see more!
really looking forward to flamestrike. I have heard a March 1st rumor…
Nice show guys.
Like the new dark age minis.
Looking to buy the army painter kit. Could you fit a pocket inside for stat cards i.e batman or warmachine ?
Did not know that the line lazer was available. I like that for checking line of sight.
Like the Army painter set. i do agree that an option of dice would be good.
Happy sunday, good show, you can send over the prices, lol
How time changes the way we look at mini’s in our games. I guess technology has improved many aspect’s of how a mini is produced and we as customers are more demanding. The Dark Age figures look really good
vast improvement on the originals dark ages
Dark Age is one of the Top 3 of my “next to start with” list and I really like the new minis a lot!!!
Great news about new Dark Age releases. Thank you.
Lovely new sculpts there for Dark Age. Army Painters pack is missing two things a place for your templates and a place for your gaming cards
Nice resculpts of the Dark Age minis
For Dark Age I am waiting for them to redo the Brood and Dragyri. I hope they get a face lift and not a complete redesign.
…..DARK AGE…..Always loved their OUTCASTS….Now they are even cooler….
Great episode! Infinity campaign looks amazing. Also the new Dark Age sculpt was a great surprise!
Yay Darkage! I can’t believe its that old wow
Cool Mini or Not make fabulous board games – always of the highest quality!
The Infinity campaign looks cool. I have to get my miniatures painted quickly now.
I really would love to lay my hands on dark age.
I have a Saint John army for Dark Age and still have much to paint of it. I’ve played a few games a while ago, but I’m loving the new direction the miniatures are taking.
Liking the new mini’s, big improvement.
I have always liked Dark Age, especially the Core.
Was nice to see John on the show again, I was getting a little tired of seeing the same three members of the team week after week. Discussions are more interesting when the perspectives are more varied.
Good show guys. I think making the army painter bag customizable only works if you only sell from the army painter site. To sell from other stores you need a fixed product.
The Dark Age mini’s look great. I’ve been thinking about getting the books to see what it is all about.
Really excited with the Infinity campaign! But as a JSA player I don’t know if I should fight for or against Yu Jing
great content in your show!!
dark age class!!!
Good, Quick an Dirty show one piece of advice for the boss is gone shows, no more coffee/energy drinks for Justin lol.
I like the idea of the army painter bag, if I didn’t already have all that stuff and could just put it in a small pouch.
Always looking forward to more CMON projects. Interesting to note the connected universe too !
I wish Dark Age was bigger (in my area or everywhere). Really is a good game w/ a great aesthetic.
Really looking forward to seeing Dark Age!!
I also was so shocked that Dark Age is so old. I had no idea. I’m getting really old.
Dark Age. That brings back memories.
Like Infinity it amazes me just how long they’ve been around.
I remember seeing them in magazines as an adolescent.
The new Dark age stuff does look good and I’m very tempted by Death watch overkill, it has been a while since I brought anything GW but I might have to get it.
I wish the AP set was modular and molle compatible
In that Game kit I’d love to see a compartment to hold my batteries for my pointer and camera.
Dark Age winner is…. Me? Yay! Thanks :-p
Lol great stuff guys! Love your work.
Great show as usual. Cool stuff. I want to win goodies.
Dark Age looks amazing!
Dark Age has been on my radar for a while and I am excited to see and paint those minis
Great job again guys Dark Age is a solid game!
Excellent work gents!
dice options or token pouches
well if we master that there tardis technology your gaming set could have infinite space inside.. is that asking too much?
Those Dark Age resculpts are impressive, as are their paint jobs. I had assumed that the one you’re using in the show’s thumbnail was actually a piece of concept art.
Amazing prize
No one in my area has tried Dark Age, it looks good though.
Love the models for Dark Age. Love Brom too….
Wow. Didn’t know Dark Age, but those miniatures are really nice. What a nice price to offer up for grabs. Really great.
The army painter kit looks good, really nice for going to convensions. Those guys do get some good ideas for hobby suddentæy essentials.
Looking forward to the award show now.
Love infinity <3
The campaign looks great. I can hardly wait.
I’d like the wargame kit better with plenty of d6s as my game only uses that. Otherwise it’s a fine product.
I love all the Dark Age resculpts, but I still have a soft spot for the older stuff as well. Only problem with the new figs is the tiny, fiddly, super bendable/breakable weapons.
loved the episode was great and love the dark age stuff
For that game bag there could be some pins to attach additional pouches for stuff.
I have always wanted to try Dark Age and the miniatures have gotten really good as of late.
nice improvements with the dark age sculpts
DarkAge has always had really great sculpts. Great to see it being talked about again. Wish more people in my area played it or even knew about it. Awesome job as always BoW!
I’d like to see an X-Wing version of the Army Painter bag, with place for maneuver rulers
New darkage sculpts look wicked
I liked the old Brom inspired Dark Age models, but the new stuff looks great too. I’ll have to wait to see what they do with the Brood.
Really good show – get the QVC clone John. lol
Dark Age is going from strength to strength with these new sculpts. I am a massive fan of the Outcasts and the Salt Nomads in particular! 😀
I like the emergency kit but I would like it to be a bit bigger so you could put templats in it as well for various games.
I love Dark Age! The Army Painter bag could have some gaming aid insert under a transparent layer.
unknowing all the background for Dark age get lured to it, cool looking minis.
Infinity still looks lovely! Also, for that bag, it would be a good addition to have an extra pouch to store chits and tokens.
I’ve never really got DarkAge or known what it’s about, so looking forward to seeing more. the resculpts look very nice.
It would be great if the Army Painter bag had some outside pockets.
I love Infinity! Dark Age also looks cool! The Army Painter bag is also lovely! I’d like one in Eldar theme!
Great episode! For games we use d10 and d20 so the AP bag could contain some of that too.
I love the Genestealer Cult, I hope they’ll expand on them
This new Overkill looks awesome! How about an Army Painter bag designed for the Deathwatch and one for the Stealers?
