It looks like The End Times will be coming to your console and PC with the news of Warhammer End Times: Vermintide that looks like it could be quite the co-operative action game in the style of Left 4 Dead and many a horde mode style game...

Witch Hunter

Skaven Attack

Street Fight

"The game takes place in and around Ubersreik, a city overrun by Skaven. Players will assume the role of one of five heroes, each featuring different play-styles, abilities, gear and personality. Working cooperatively, players must use their individual attributes to survive an apocalyptic invasion from the hordes of relentless rat-men, known as the Skaven. Battles will take place across a range of environments stretching from the top of the Magnus Tower to the bowels of the Under Empire."

From the sounds of it you're going to be fighting, as I mentioned above, in a Left 4 Dead style brawl against the hordes of Skaven attempting to overrun Ubersreik. I really like the sound of this and the images we're seeing so far certainly look like good to me. I hope that there's couch co-op as well as online play.

Underground

Graveyard

The heroes that we've seen so far have been the Witch Hunter in the screenshots above and if you have a look at their website you can see the outlines of a Bright Wizard and someone that's clearly a Dwarf, probably an Engineer.

Fatshark, the folks behind the game, worked on the really awesome PC game, War of the Roses, so they do have a good pedigree behind them. I hope this turns out good!

What do you think?
