Happy Weekender every one!
Is it just me, or did it feel like it took forever for the weekend to get here?
Maybe I’m just working too hard and need to slack-off more. ?
Happy Weekend!!!
Damn, I wasn’t even CLOSE to first! 😀
Happy Weekend! I really want a Blackstone Fortress. LOVE the Traitor Guard.
War Cry looks fun. The terrain tutor seems great and I plan on pledging.
Two quick notes for everyone:
1) The Sitrep team (Modern Military Gaming) will be running a Live Stream with a special guest today, starting at 4:00 PM GMT at https://www.twitch.tv/sitreppodcast/ . Myself, Gianna, Ralph, and Chris hope you’ll swing by and see who from the gaming industry Gianna’s managed to snag for the show!
2) The Sitrep Ops Center – Episode 03 is now up on OTT/BoW, YouTube, and Twitch. Apologies for the delay earlier this month, but the series is back in production. This time we’re taking a wargamer’s look at the Yom Kippur War, the biggest of the Arab-Israeli Conflicts, and see what particular features of this war can be featured in systems like Fate of a Nation, GHQ Microarmour, and The Arab-Israeli Wars.
https://www.beastsofwar.com/board-games/sitrep-podcast-presents-ops-center-the-yom-kippur-war/
Drop a comment or question in the thread if you like, maybe we’ll answer it in our next episode! 😀
Sorry to have missed the live show, but real life you know …
No worries, @rasmus – we had a great show and a great audience. And the recording is now up on YouTube. 😀
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fak0Vss8Xjs
I’ll have a look tomorrow – beer and after-D&D got me right now
Solid stuff dude.
Thanks very much @jockjay ! 😀
It sucks that Warcry is Chaos only. I was really hoping for an AOS KT that involved more factions
it’s the same reason GorkaMorka wasn’t as succesful as Mordheim. Being so restrictive alienated a large amount of players who didn’t like the factions
I think there’s a lot more room with Chaos than people think. The different gods are all very unique in their approach and with them then being split down into tribes I think we’ll have quite the diverse offering.
There’s still AoS Skirmish for the wider array of options for a small skirmish force. I look to Necromunda as an example here. It’s all humans (for want of a better term) battling it out in the same location and they’ve got a diverse range of aesthetics/styles there.
I liked the opening sequence. Lloyd almost looked excited and enthusiastic about the prizes
Amazing what the presence of a new Kroot sculpt can do to a man like Lloyd!
U know it!
Janus Draik is my favourite blackstone character because of the mustache and monocle.
Hope everyone has a great weekend, and i hope i win Blackstone fortress so i can play with my friends!
For the Tauntaun Do you get the tree it looks like it’s having a pee against in the box or do you have to provide your own?
I reckon you’ll have to provide a tree yourself @torros 😀 .
Happy weekend all
I am Kroot?
Lol 🙂
Fav miniature fire Blackstone Fortress is UR-025 because we need more rouge trader stuff In modern 40k we need a squat for this game though
It would be great if GW had a packing error of the giveaway box and there was no Kroot shaper in the box in the first place… who would the community believe!
UR-25!!! what is the best battle systems tabletop terrain setup someone would recommend for star wars legion?
Shanty or industrial they both have that lived in feel. Cyberpunk for a core planet maybe
id agree 100% on that lived in feel for the two id personally probably go with shanty. also ohh wow cyberpunk is much better than I originally thought. I only took pictures based off their site which I found wasn’t giving them the justice it deserved. After a quick google search im left with thinking i need them both now. but those prices when using canadian $… ouff probs gunna have to stick with shanty, I appreciate the response!
my pleasure
Yea, It’s the Weekend!!
No urgent work to complete this week, only loads of stuff to do around the house, so… Rugby and hobby it is then !! 😉
@avernos,@lloyd you need to add Wizards and Yellow beard to your must watchlist
Also Day of the Siege which is about the 1683 Siege of Vienna by the Ottomans. Has some lovely Cavalry charges in it
Yellow beard is a great shout, Wizards is a new one on me just watched a clip, and that is all kinds of awesome so definitely on the list.
@lloyd you should add Day of the Siege to your list as well Anna would enjoy it.
Cheers for those mate, hadn’t heard of the either of those.
If you like Wizards then Fritz the Cat might be an interesting choice by the same writer/Director
oh I’ve seen Fritz 🙂
lol Anna’s never watching that.
you should see the cav charge with the polish winged lancers, it’s amazing. Done on a budget but great nonetheless
I mean Fritz!
probably for the best XD
I’ve watched some of the Critical Roll stuff. They really are boring role-play sessions to my mind
Each to their own.
They need Dungeon Master!
https://death-saves.com/collections/chapter-1/products/dungeon-master-ls-t-shirt Death Saves did a pretty cool take on him.
UR-025, great looking sculpt and who thought GW would ever make a Man of Iron model?
I’ll be honest, I really want to build a Legio Cybernetica list with UR-025 leading a bunch of Kastellan Robots….
Hmmmm…something familiar here…
Warcry is groups of Chaos with enigmatic leaders fighting for territory etc in the wastelands…
It’s basically CMON’s HATE! GW style then!?!
That”s ok I suppose given I might table my Hate minis as an AoS army sometime 😉
Oh yeah – guess how I’ll source one army for Saga AoM!
Good man
Happy Weekender!
Terrain Essentials on Kickstarter already supported.
@lloyd and @avernos you can get your WW2 trains from here.
https://sarissa-precision.com/collections/railway-28mm
I wonder if the gauge match 🙂
You would think so as the 4ground do 28mm as well
I have never played Saga but I have been considering it for a while because I really want to try it for an Elder Scrolls themed game. So any Saga experts here (@lloyd @avernos), I would appreciate some advice as to whether it’s likely to work. I don’t really want a rank and flank mass battle game because my experience of Elder Scrolls video games is always very skirmishy which is why I looked at Saga. Could Saga work? And would you recommend Age of Magic, historical rules (and equate elder scrolls factions with historical factions) or attempt a mish mash of them all. I already know where I can get miniatures, in hard plastic, for pretty much every faction bar the Khajeet, I just need a decent set of rules.
Another alternative might be Warlords of Erewohn.
.. this would end up being a wall of text and still may not answer your questions.
So what I’m going to do is film a quick video going over the two systems and fire you the link when I’m done. Then you can see what you want to run with. Both are excellent but both are fairly different
https://youtu.be/oblxsj3I8FM there you go mate, hopefully that makes a bit more sense than a wall of rambling text.
So the main difference is that there’s no Rus filth in WoE?
best difference 😀
Cheers. I haven’t watched it yet but I will watch it later when I get chance. I appreciate the effort though.
Thud and Blunder might work as I think it’s a smaller scale than the other2 games
Awesome weekender very interested in Mel’s book…. and Blackstone Fortress of course.
Good luck Mel. Hope the Kickstarter goes well.
The Spanish minis in the Polish Kickstarter look great for Blood and Plunder.
Looking forward to Salute; the thought of looking at a large variety of minis and companies will be great.
Thanks buddy!
Woah, that american west 4ground terrain is outstanding!
Happy weekender.
It’s been so great to see Mel on BoW. I hope he’ll brave the propeller plane again and return for another visit.
Fingers crossed, I’ll be back across for Warren’s predator game!
I’m really interested to see where Battle Systems go next. I’ve recently ordered the shantytown set to play Fallout in. I’m also tempted to pick up another sci fi set to be a vault interior. Now if only they’d make a vault door unit…..
I think my favourite Blackstone character is Pious Vorne. I’m into flamers at the moment!
Happy weekender guys!! Great show as usual, I’ve only just gotten over last sunday!
Best character in Blackstone Fortress? They’re all so god but the ‘one’ that really appeals to me is the Ratling Twins, Rein and Raus. I can’t pick one as I can’t imagine they’d ever be apart! I know what you mean with the kroot though, I’ve always wanted a complete kroot force. I love their backstory, mainly from the Ciaphas Cain books. I think it was one of the earlier ones where cain teamed up with a few kroot.
Warcry looks interesting but I also expected more factions and not just chaos. Saying that though this deeper delve into chaos looks really cool.
The new SAGA rules look really interesting, I quite like the rule set so a fanstasy version may be worth going for. The star wars legion releases are great too, shame they’re hoth themed as I’ve gone for a scarif theme myself ?.
The battlesystems ranges are so cool, I’m all about the fully emersive gameplay too. Games never seem as fun when the table isn’t pretty. I’ve not managed to pick anything up myself from them but it’s definitely on my list for the future. While we’re on terrain that 4Ground stuff is excellent, I’ve been playing alot of red dead redemption 2 lately and it’s got me really inspired to do more western stuff. These will be ideal for whichever system I end up going with. With Mel’s terrain book now been funded too I’m hoping theres some advise on weathing building in there.
I’ve quite enjoyed the crirical role stuff, I’ve not managed to get through them all yet but what I’ve seen has been great. I’m quite intrigued with the animated series, I’m wondering whether it’ll pull in more people to the rpg scene. Obviously its so big in the states already compared to here, in my area anyway.
Plenty of info on weathering buildings in the book mate!
Happy Weekender!
I like Pious Vorne, her heavy flamer – chain blade combo give her an interesting and deadly look.
Had no hesitation jumping in on Mel’s Kickstarter. Can’t wait for the book – should be incredible.
Cheers bud
Happy Weekend and Blackstone Fortress for the win! 😉
Happy Weekend! I really want a copy of Blackstone Fortress. Heard so much good about it!! LOVE the Ratling Twins
Yet again another great weekender !
Watched the terrain tutor video yesterday – very interesting
if you’ve not visited his youtube channel you should https://www.youtube.com/user/TheTerrainTutor new videos all the time and a smashing community here https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheTerrainTutorsTerrainiacs/
Sob. Please bully Colin to revisit fantasy. I love his Battlesystems stuff for dnd and Dungeon Saga but I want more. And 45 degree angles too. Please, please, please.
I will definitely be dropping more cash at UKGE with them this year.
It’s a tough choice, but my favorite mini is Taddeus the Purifier, although the twins are cool too!
With Mel’s Terrain Essentials Kickstarter Book its now been live 18 hours 20 minutes & its going very well
£40,550 pledged of £30,056 goal
with 1,169 backers
I see you!
Awesome show 🙂
And no…I haven’t seen Caddyshack either @avernos One more for the list 😀
how have you not seen Caddyshack? *adds it to the list*
Caddyshack is a terrible film, but that doesn’t stop it being fun… Bill Murray steals every scene… except for the ones with the Gopher…
I was stunned a few weeks ago… a guy in his 30’s hadn’t heard of War of War Worlds, HG Wells or Jeff Wayne’s musical…
Kids today… don’t read books… come the apocalypse they will regret their lack of reading material… try and light a fire with your iphone, or use it for toilet paper… it’s not going to work… but books… they’re very versatile…
he’s never heard “as I ran up Primrose Hill, an insane resolve took me, I would give my life then and there to the Martians” der der deeeeeeeer diddly dee diddly dee der der der DEE DEE DEE DEEDEE Deeee!
More importantly, he hasn’t heard the amazing opening dialogue… spine tingling stuff.
Who would have believed at the start of the 21st century that there were people who had never heard of Jeff Wayne
Well hopefully the new BBC series will bring some interest in it again
I am sue it been shown on Danish TV3 – they used to show it around New Years Eve
I have no doubt @rasmus 🙂 But I haven’t watched tv (apart from 30 seconds every New Year’s Eve) in 15+ years now :))
But then, who needs tv when I have friends like @avernos, who keeps me culturally sane and educated. Well… educated at least :p
that is more that I have watched as well, I left the Old country in 1999 – but I had a VHS copy of Caddyshack for years from a New Years Eve.
Looks like Blackstone Fortress could drag me back into WH 40K
Favourite Blackstone minis, the Ratling Twins, Rein and Raus.
Will second the mention of the Sarissa Precision for European rolling stock. Not got any of their locomotives yet, but the wagons are awesome. They even show you how to convert them to use on O Gauge layouts. Well worth checking out if you don’t mind having to paint them yourself.
I like Pious Vorne, Missionary Zealot best, she’s the sort of ‘hot chick’ I approve off….. burn it, burn it all!
I could watch @lloyd and @avernos for hours. Pure genius, you two are awesome. Really enjoyed watching this, thanks guys, can’t wait for tomorrow!
cheers matey, it’s the focus, and dedication to pure professionalism that really comes across I feel.
it’s probably because we both wear glasses :p
I concur
I often expect when someone mentions SAGA that Lloyd will float into the air in pure ectasy like Mutley did when he was told he was going to be getting a medal
https://youtu.be/dIuSqQ1Lsuo
Blackstone fortress is supeer cool and the Ambull expansion is great.
I watched the into and thougt, “Lloyd seems unusually hyper. I wonder why?”
Trains and Kroot. Trains. And. Kroot.
Actually, I mock, but the mKroot does look like the coolest of the characters.
“unusually hyper” never! 🙂
Koot & trains FTW!!!!
Sarissa do a good train collection. Look forward to the Terrain Tutors book his videos are very handy.
“Sarissa do a good train collection” – sure is, grown quite big now 🙂
Don’t think I’ve seen them in the flesh, somthing to look out for a salute.
Thanks for another great show guys. I’ll have to keep an eye on the Terrain Tutor kickstarter as well.
That train might work for blinging up Soda Pop’s Rail Raiders chibi boardgame (i’d have to check the train tiles against the interior to be sure), but that would be cool
I found it a pretty fun party game and making it more 3D would be great
I like UR-025 because he is a sentient metal men.
Great job guys
I love the Kroot model inside. I agree, we need more Kroot in general.
Will catch a little bit of today’s show before I tackle organizing the garage today!
I have to say that commissar looked cool but he needs a hat!
I am Kroot!!!
I’m a fan of Janus Draik, UR-025, and the Abull even with it not being a hero its still a great looking model.
Sorry, I was really pumped for a rule set for AoS ….ands then I saw the Warcry details. Chaos vs Chaos, well, no loss there, imo. Just saved me $150+ probably. If Khorne’s followers want blood (from others or themselves), why have armor at all? Tattoos, fine. A loincloth or kilt for PC, fine. Sharp, slicey things, definitely.
Hopefully, the rules will be sold separately, as for Kill Team.
They will probably get Warcrolls yes.
Another great show. Ben’s face while Lloyd and Gerry rabbit on and on about winged hussars though!
Classic stuff!
he was engrossed in the fascinating dialogue and enjoying every minute of it, drinking it in and absorbing the knowledge bomb that was dropped on him.
I see Winged Hussars when I close my eyes now…
Happy Saturday, all!
I agree, rather exciting to finally see a new Kroot mini after all this time. Who knows, maybe there will be Squats again one day.
Backed Mel’s book, looking forward to it.
Thanks bud!
Mythic “Jone of Arc” retail version will contain building overlays, (2d building showing rooms) but sorry no mini buildings. Cant wait for my kickstarter.
Wow, we truly live in the golden age of gaming – and terrain. I curse the weak swedish currency, otherwise I would have bought a lot more from british companies.
I’ll fill a suitcase and bring it over, are you close to sthlm?
I like UR-025 most, specifically for his background, but aside from the Spindle Drones all minis in BSF look great.
Do many of these models are wonderful. I may have to get mynhands on one of the Kroot just to have one to oaint because he is a beauty
Favourite Blackstone Fortress mini? Probably the robot, there’s an elegant simplicity to it and it’s something we don’t normally see in 40k. Before the new Abaddon mini was shown off I’d have said the Chaos Lord would have been a strong contender because of the potential to turn it into Abaddon. Including expansions then I’d say it’s a tie with the Ambull because that’s a blast from the past and a nice update to a classic.
@lloyd – if you don’t want the big Skellie beastie and it’s still on sprue, feel free to send it to me; I won’t charge you to take it off your hands. ?
Mel’s viewers – forget Antarctica, what you really want to celebrate is when you get one on the ISS. ?
Ideas for Mel’s book – how about an MC Escher-esque non-Euclidean interior for a building? ?
Critical Role cartoon – will Matt Mercer be doing the voices for the NPCs like he does in the actual tabletop game, or will other voice artists be brought in to do them?
Gerry’s list – sounds like Gerry’s mates with Captain America. ?
Polish minis as Kislev for WHFB – was going to say that but Gerry beat me to it.
Oh that would be epic!
I’m sure that he will voice the NPCs that he can properly kick ass with, and then bring in some friends to voice the others 😉
nice weekend guys
I do like the look of Amallyn Shadowguide and have to say the chaos look nice
They are all my favourite and I want them all ok thanks
While the Kroot shaper is awesome, my favorite is UR-025, because…Man of Iron!
Loyd’s buyers remorse/rage was hilarious!
Great show guys, love how the whole tone and tempo changes from week to week when you mix up the presenters. Looking forward to the XLBS tomorrow. Keep up the good work fellas!
@lloyd I can tell you first hand that Americans can’t pronounce their own names – My better halfs name is Czech, and she just pronounce it phonetically as it is spelled, and in Czech is would also have a “female” form which never name it over here
Great show, and Def checking out Mel’s book
Yay for kroot
lol I have an original Battle of the Bulge DVD with the ten minute interval half way through it @lloyd
a great weekender guys terraintutor will be a fabulous book when it comes out the train looks brilliant and a European one will be a great addition to any table.
thanks buddy!
i really love the Imperial Navigator sculpt from BSF…its really interesting, looks sooooo cool
Played through the Blackstone Fortress campaign lots of fun. It was my friends copy though would love to get a copy of it then pick up the expansions.
I love the look of Amallyn Shadowguide! But of course the whole Blackstone fortress set looks amazing!
I absolutely love Amallyn Shadowguide! We need new Eldar, new Craftworlds models, specifically, and Rangers need to come back to plastic!
Love you Mel, you do great things and you deserve everything you’ve got!
Thanks buddy, it’s a bit overwhelming tbh
In the Blackstone fort, my fav is UR-025, because of his background (and possibilities for the 40K universe!).
Happy weekend!
Liking the looks of Warcry.
Takes me back to the old realms of chaos narrative campaigning.
I’m in
Can’t wait to see it on the tabletop.
And…
Lovin this weeks prize!
another great weekender
This was a fun Weekender! I wish Mel a good luck!
I like the Ratling minis in Blackstone the most. It’s been a while to see new sculpts.
Those polish lancers look really nice. Also the chaos ogryn looks very cool, much nicer than the standard imperial ones.
Great show. Blackstone Fortress is definitely doing something different with the 40k Universe. Those of us who remember Rogue Traders from the first time round are as interested as the young bloods. I’m very glad to see there is continued support and that a wide range of potential market is being catered for. Ambulls are the big bad from the earliest edition and the firstg appearance of a chaos commissar will have lots of interest from a wide range of players.
I had to pause the vid at 29 mins (easier to continue play at a round minute!) so I could get on with the day and the look of shocked outrage from @gerry was amazing!
UR-025
of course! maybe the oldest sentient being in the Imperium (aside from the Big E…) and he’s passing as a simple automaton
Great Show guys! UR-025 of course (good for a novice painter too haha).
So @brennon, are you going to sit and watch your favourite Kickstarter project click over the $7.5M mark?
As I type this it is around $50k away – probably not a good idea for me to stay up so late on Monday morning (NZ time) – it’s nearly 2am and I should head off to bed.
Alas, none of the actual rewards is that interesting to me. But, I will give them some money towards it even if I don’t get anything back bar the animation – will see about dropping some towards then end I think.
Well that was really strange – you were just communicating with me on Twitter – I’m DrewCookNZ.
I have the Dreaded Ambull expansion – not the game, I just REALLY WANTED the Ambull. Blackstone Fortress players do get some card goodness. Not much, no new tiles, but there’s a good set of whatever-it-is to go with the models. The models are UTTERLY FANTASTIC by the way.
Loved the show. Hope to win.
thanks for the show. I can see the train on my game table. Any idea on Mel book, A4? Hard Back?
Watching the Saturday Weekender on Sunday still counts, right? Pious Vorne is my favorite, because chainsaw flamethrower!
It’s interesting to see two companies release a product aimed at re-using your existing models with generic army lists.
Could it be considered ‘proof’ that GW really was right when they replaced WHFB with AoS ?
btw :
The original ‘Realm of Chaos : slaves to darkness’ book had rules for creating a chaos warrior and his warband. The idea was to play them in a campaign and try to become a chaos prince.
Good show! In Blackstone Fortress it’s the Imperial Navigator I prefer, good to finally see a miniature for that role.
Obsidius Mallex is an awesome model! I can’t believe I hadn’t come across Battle Systems terrain before; it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for.
It’s the Kroot for me as well!
My Core Space pledge is off the boat! Not long now! 😀
Hey guys, loved the show this week. Loads of information and great products to drool over. Great to see Mel and learn about his kick starter. Based on hobby space I’m not much into terrain making, but with a book by someone as enthusiastic as Mel, he might just convince me to give it a go.
I did a lot of hobby this weekend so I’m just now catching up… maybe even with XLBS if time allows… Huzza!
Thanks for all your support folks, it funded in 7hrs and is currently the 3rd most popular project in the entire games category! This wouldn’t have happened without your support, so thank you, thank you so so much!
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1560579763/terrain-essentials
I quite like the Kroot mini from Blackstone Fortress.
I’m keen to get my hands on Warcry, been looking for a Kill Team style game for Age of Sigmar. I’ve never been a chaos player in the past so this will be a whole new experience for me as a gamer and painter.
Good show, good weekend. Warcry looks gucci tbh. Nice sculpts.
@avernos I NEED YOUR VIDEOLIST! I want to see want some other people are still lacking in knowledge
The Terrain book kickstarter is the best this week for me. I’ve learned so much from his videos.
I really like that train. The world needs more like it. WW2, modern scifi, 40K. All of them.
We especially need covert ICBM launcher railway cars. Those actually existed and would make wonderful tactical objectives.
Also I immediately thought of those classic western scenes of boarding a driving from horseback and then fighting along it.
Or battles between fictional armored trains like in Transarctica (See my avatar…)
I’m really excited for Warcry and all the crazy Chaos miniatures they could be doing for it. My favourite miniature from Blackstone Fortress is UR-205 I just like his look and what he truly is.
Great Show! Mel’s kickstarter is doing fantastic! Can’t wait for the books!
Retail Joan of Arc will only include card templates for the buildings, but I put money on the option for supplemental packs for buildings, including the castle (I backed, so getting all that).
With all the mention of fantasy rules, surprised you didn’t mention ‘Dragon Rampant’ (especially as you mentioned Lion Rampant). Thinking of looking into Saga again now, especially if they do a medieval (HYW / RotR) set – which I agree with Gerry, they’d be silly not to.
(and 15/18mm all the way)
What with Warcry, the Khorne battletome, Shadowspear, the new releases for Chaos Space Marines announced on Sunday for pre-order next week (https://www.warhammer-community.com/2019/03/17/pre-order-preview-abaddon-chaos-space-marines-and-more/), it certainly is the year of Chaos.
Already in for the Terrain Tutor’s book, but those Polish soldiers do look interesting. Might have to have a closer look.
Happy weekend!
I also love the Kroot Shaper from Blackstone Fortress! I’ve also bought another model on Ebay for my Tau army, much better in plastic than in metal (you drop the model and the arm always fall off…).
I will get for sure the Traitor Command expansion and also thinking about the Warcry game, the models attracted my attention 😉
See you around
GW just keeps hitting them out of the park.
lol, as soon as i saw gerry and lloyd where on there own with poor ben. i knew this would be a SAGA heavy episode. great episode.
😀
That train is absolutly stunning.
And i got remembered to build my Battle Systems Terrain i bought last year. 🙂
Nice video.
I think Warcry going to be another games of GW half-cooked to try to sell more unpainted minis for the coleccionist.
I hope it don´t cripple Vanguard wich is it a real good game.
Love terrain that’s flat packable – next to ludicrous amounts of carry cases and boxes of unbuilt models, the biggest enemy of a seasoned wargamer is massive volumes of terrain that takes up more space than anyone reasonably possesses.
Warcry – Was looking for Mordheim, but what I got was Path to Glory. AOS needs some regular human contact soon – where’s all the farmers, woodsmen and brewers?
I would say the Man of Iron is my favourite model in Blackstone Fortress, but those Negavolt cultists are clearly going to be the basis for my new Arco-Flagellants.
you can keep the kroot shaper if I win 😉
It has to be Taddeus the Purifier, Ministorum Priest from Blackstone Fortress is my favourite figure.
The Ministorum Priest is my favorite Blackstone hero.
A lot of terrain goodies in this episode. Though I don’t mind painting terrain, I do love Battlesystems and have already got a few of their products. Excited to see whats coming next
I am soooooooooo getting behind Mel’s Kickstarter! That book sounds like a godsend!
As for the best character in Blackstone Fortress, that’s gotta be the Eldar Ranger. She’s aces!
Blackstone looks lovely! Fav miniature is the Kroot.
I’m so excited for Mel’s book
Warcry seems like it could be a good start towards a full on Mordheim replacement/AoS Kill Team.
Blackstone Fortress is definitively what I wanted from fantasy WhQ & what Space Hulk coulda/shoulda/woulda evolved into, had GW not lost their minds & killed off their Specialist Games.
Blaster was here…
Man, that GW schedule is harsh if you want to get everything. These smaller games from GW are really in my wheelhouse (I mean, they get a lot more play than actual 40K for sure)… I just need a better paying job so I don’t go broke.
BSF is amazing looking, and the new 3d tiles people have designed are great.
For the Blackstone, my fav is the Missionary Man.
UR-025 is cool, just like Fezzes.
Thanks for the great weekenders!
My favorite mini from Blackstone Fortress is Amallyn Shadowguide. I’d love to paint that up.
Core Space looks good. In BSF it’s Pious Vorne that’s the best, because he is retro!
Out of the Blackstone heroes, it was Amallyn Shadowguide my favorite
Happy weekend. And i want to win this time. Just one time.
For me the best of Blackstone Fortress figures are the Chaos minis!
The Rogue trader model is incredibly characterful. It’s nice to see a game that explores life on the Imperiums edge
Really like the look of those Poles.
Not sure of all the names, but all the Blackstone Fortress characters are good. Especially like the Kroot, the robot and the Ratlings.
I like the look of Warcry too, so far. I don’t think it’s a mistake to focus on Chaos. Sometimes, less is more, and having chaos gangs fight it out gives you a lot of narrative space for fighting and alliances. Like Necromunda – the theme would have been weekened if they’d introduced too many different alien races.
Great show as usual everyone!!
Happy weekend!! Since Blackstone fortress came out i always eyed at it. Think some time i have to get it. I so much like the navigator
For blackstone fortress Loving the look of janus drake the rogue treder
My favourite mini in Warhammer Quest: Blackstone Fortress is Draik, the Rogue Trader.
Great show guys. I loved the bit with Lloyd TheTrainTutor.
The minis from Blackstone Fortress are all cool, they have a sort of retro look about them. It’s great to see ratlings again, and space goats.
